Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the Full Moon in Gemini on December 10 is also a lunar eclipse, adding to both the strength and duration of its effects. Gemini comprises your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs and pleasures so keep an eye on that part of your life for any developments. Lunar eclipses typically manifest more on the emotional plane than material which implies your attitude toward this part of your life or its ranking on your priority list may be what you see or, more accurately, feel. Remember that the effects of an eclipse can be dramatic but they don't always appear immediately following its occurrence. In fact, eclipses can be felt before they happen, which is certainly counter-intuitive. Some believe that is actually the lunar nodes doing the work, which makes sense because they are major indicators for change and eclipses occur when the Sun and Moon are within 15 degrees or less of the nodes. If your birthday is between May 4 - 10 you are more likely than other Bulls to encounter a situation which requires an adjustment or change of direction. Your sign ruler, Venus, is in a closed loop aspect with the Moon and Mars which will be directing their energies in a way which should connect various parts of your life as defined by the houses. Venus is in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 9th house of higher learning, beliefs and expectations, religion, politics, legal matters and long-distance travel which should bring her friendly vibes to that part of your life. She is trining Mars who is in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, sooooo, guess what? If your birthday is right around May 4 - 8 they are forming a lovely Grand Earth Trine with your natal Sun! Virgo is your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, romance, children, entertainment and speculation. The 1st, 5th and 9th houses are known as the Life Houses which define who and what you are. This harmonious aspect can be very validating, especially with your sign ruler involved, so put it to good use. Meanwhile, back to that other loop, the Moon in Gemini is the third planet in that other triad I was talking about before I got off track. Gemini, as noted earlier, is your 2nd house of income and stuff. This could bode very well for coming up with some form of income from your creative efforts which may involve teaching. If you're thinking of going back to school and pursuing something more to your liking or maybe simply to take an adult enrichment class in some creative endeavor this bodes well, also. If you are having a bit of a financial crisis, which would be surprising given that the eclipse spans your financial houses (2nd and 8th) Mars is forming a T-square with the Sun and Moon which implies that money may be holding you back from pursuing something which could be anything from indulging in something fun or starting a family, since children are also in the 5th. Or maybe you have a teenager you want to send off to boarding school or put in low-earth orbit for a few years but can't quite afford it. If so, that Grand trine may help you figure out how to make it work. Mercury is trining Uranus which should bring some surprising news or perhaps simply a flash of inspiration that changes you and set you on a different path, probably a creative one, given those other aspects. The final loop out there (and it is somewhat unusual to have so many loops rather than independent aspects) involves the outer planets Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. These planets move relatively slowly and thus their aspects hang in there a bit longer, increasing their influence. These are not a flash in the pan but significant, enduring influences. Jupiter is in your sign and on your natal Sun if your birthday is April 21, give or take a day or so. He is retrograde, however, which makes him more introspective and philosophical as opposed to expansive, though he will yet get there when he goes direct on Christmas Day. Jupiter is lucky, as a rule, so bear that in mind. Neptune is being trined by Jupiter and he is in Aquarius, your 10th house of career, reputation, status and public image. Neptune is the zodiacal surfactant which can dissolve things and make them disappear or dissipate. He can be inspirational or deceptive. With him being sextiled by Jupiter his influence is more likely to be favorable and bring an opportunity, which will come from all the introspection and philosophizing, so pay attention to your brainstorms. Saturn is in Libra, sign of his exaltation, which tends to soften his influence and make it more positive as well. Libra is your 6th house of work, health, service and pets and Saturn is all about responsibility, discipline and structure. This looks as if it could bring a new career opportunity your way, so pay attention. The New Moon on December 24 is in Capricorn, your aforementioned 9th house of higher learning, beliefs, and so forth. This should bring something new your way or begin a new phase with regard to this part of your life. The loop between Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn described above is still in force so if you haven't seen anything yet in that part of your life, don't give up just yet. Expect some more surprises which could come in the form of a sudden revelation which affects your belief system in some manner. Uranus would be the planet responsible for this and he is in Aries, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, visions, institutions, collective consciousness, hidden enemies and self-undoing or what I call either the Angels and Demons house or simply the woo-woo house. If it's a flash of inspiration it is likely to tie into all the creative activity in some way and could light the fuse of an entirely new endeavor. This is going to require some work but if it's something you enjoy that is easier to pursue. For the New Moon Venus is squaring Jupiter but these two benefic planets don't usually cause too much trouble, even in a hard aspect like a square. You may have to make sure you're not over-confident or arrogant with this placement, so bear that in mind so you don't turn off anyone who might be able to help you. Over all this looks like a good month for you so put it to good use. |
