Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on December 10 in Gemini is also a Lunar Eclipse and a total one, at that, so if you've never seen one go out and take a look. It occurs around 2:00 pm GMT so obviously if the Sun is up where you live you won't be able to see it. Those of you in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and so forth should get to see it, weather permitting, of course. Eclipses tend to be like a lunation on steroids and thus have a much stronger impact than the usual garden variety Full or New Moon. Lunar eclipses tend to affect you more on the emotional level while solar eclipses can stir up events around you. Gemini is your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt and shared resources, the house which Scorpio rules in the zodiac. You approach this part of your life in a logic way and therefore can by your nature deal with intense situations in a different way than other signs who may freak out. This is not to say that something awful is going to happen, but it's likely to be fairly memorable even if it's merely understanding something at a deeper level than before. You traditional sign ruler, Mars, is forming a T-square with the Sun/Moon from Virgo, your 11th house of groups, friends, organizations, networking and goals. Mars can provide a lot of energy toward pursuing something you want but the T-square suggests you may not have the money you need to do so. There may be some help out there, however, at least for those of you with birthdays right around October 24. This is because Jupiter is opposing your natal Sun from your 7th house of close relationships. Jupiter is retrograde, which tends to turn his usually expansive energy to a more philosophical frequency, but that can be quite useful for rearranging your belief system which is likely to be targeted toward someone close to you. It's also possible that someone close to you may be the one who introduces a new attitude or approach. Saturn in Libra, your 12th house of inspiration, enlightenment, spirituality, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing, is opposing Jupiter which is something else to contend with. Saturn is exalted in Libra, however, so his energy is directed in a more positive way. Responsibility, discipline and organization are some of his specialties which may be hard to identify in your Angels and Demons house. If someone you know is in the hospital or jail, then that is fairly easy to see. If you have any self-defeating behaviors, and most people do, Saturn can help you find the discipline to overcome it. Since Saturn represents all authority figures, maybe one of them is trying to undermine you, like your boss, or perhaps the local authorities have their eye on you for unpaid parking tickets or something. As a Scorpio your sense of discernment should be sufficient to figure it out. Saturn is in a closed loop aspect with Neptune and Jupiter in a pattern known as a Triangle of Potential. Saturn and Jupiter are opposing each other, creating tension, but Neptune is in soft aspect to them both and can thus mediate it. Neptune is in fellow Fixed Sign, Aquarius, your 4th house of memories, cultural roots, home environment and endings. Neptune dissolves what he touches but can also bring inspiration and enlightenment. Thus, if you are having some sort of difficulty it looks as if you can deal with it through either enlightenment or perhaps getting drunk, since Neptune rules alcohol. J/K. Neptune rules fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 5th house of creativity, romance, children, entertainment and speculation. Of course this somewhat brings us back to adult beverages, but other than that your creativity is likely to be your ally in taking care of business, whatever it may be. The trine from retrograde Mercury to Uranus is likely to bring unexpected news or information with regard to your job. Being retrograde, Mercury has come this way before, around the first week of November, so anything that got started around that time is now up for review or revision. Given that the aspect is a trine it shouldn't be onerous but could actually work to your advantage. There is one more closed loop out there to mention which includes your traditional ruler, Mars, again, along with Venus and the Moon. As noted earlier, Mars in your 11th house is great for pursuing your goals or networking as well as moving forward with a group project. Venus in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel is trining Mars which bodes well for getting along with the opposite gender as well as ideas on how to pursue your goals or possibly work together with your neighbors on a common goal of some sort. The quincunx from Venus to the Moon suggests a change of course or adjustment as a result which would most likely result from the experience which touches you in some manner. Given that it's the holiday season, perhaps involvement in some charitable activity will provide the spiritual boost you need. The square between the Moon and Mars shows some conflict but this could simply be a situation that got the group effort going in the first place. The New Moon on December 24 is in Capricorn, your 3rd house of ideas, thoughts, neighbors, siblings and local travel as mentioned earlier. Your modern sign ruler, Pluto, is also in that sign which is a very useful placement for increasing your discernment, research, or simply uncovering information. Pluto is going to be there for several years so utilize that energy to your advantage. If there is a mystery of any kind to be solved, you are well positioned to do so and astound those around you with your skills. The New Moon in this house should bring something new your way in this area. That triangle of potential described above is still in effect and if it's troublesome then this lunation may help you come up with some more ideas to solve it. It could also bring some disruptions at work. Be aware that while Uranus is in the 6th house that you may encounter multiple disturbances at work but the 6th also comprises your health and service activities. Uranus is also the planet of breaking away, freedom, pioneering a new endeavor, rebellion and technology. Thus, if you've been thinking of going into business for yourself or changing your job in any way, this can be useful. However, Uranus is nearly impossible to predict. About all you can do is expect the unexpected then act on it however it seems fit. This lunation trines Jupiter who is stationing direct at this time. That should bring additional thought energy into whatever is going on with that relationship issue. Remember that relationships associated with the 7th house include not only your significant other but business partners, close friends and relatives, and business professionals with who you interact on a one-on-one manner. At any rate, between a New Moon and Pluto in your 3rd house you should have the mental prowess you need to take on just about any challenge. With Mercury retrograde until December 14 you have additional cosmic assistance to revise, review, edit or reconsider whatever is on your plate at this time. |
