Lunations and Long-Term Aspects

The Full Moon on December 10 is also a lunar eclipse, giving it substantially more energy which will typically manifest on the emotional plane.  Since the Moon is your sign ruler, you are likely to feel this more strongly than others along with those with a Cancer rising for whom the Moon rules their entire chart.  The effects of an eclipse can phase in before the actual event and also linger for months, sometimes even longer, as transiting planets contact the eclipse degree.  This one occurs in Gemini, your 12th house of angels and demons which comprises your spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, confinement, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing. 

Mars is forming a T-square with the Sun and Moon which denotes conflict, but with Mars in Virgo this may not be as stressful for you as other signs.  Virgo represents your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and local travel and Mars will sextile your natal Sun if your birthday is right around July 6th.  This should present an opportunity of some description even though it may conflict with your work in some way.  The rest of you may not see the opportunity so much as a difficulty of some kind which could relate to your daily commute or perhaps simply your attitude toward whatever is going on in the workplace.  Venus is well-positioned in your polar sign, Capricorn, which comprises your close relationships, to help out in some way, however.  This could be no more than a good idea which effects a change of direction and puts your mind at lease.

Another aspect pattern in this lunation involves Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune, all outer planets which tend to drive the themes of our lives.  Jupiter has been retrograde for a while in Taurus, your 11th house of friends, organizations, groups, networking and goals where he will be stirring up such things as ethics issues which could pertain to either individuals or perhaps your involvement in one of these areas.  It could also motivate you to give deep consideration to your personal goals.  This, however, is being opposed by Saturn in Libra, you 4th house of memories, endings, cultural roots and home environment.  Saturn is exalted in Libra which at least tends to bring out his positive side, but this has nonetheless brought some stressful situations to this part of your life.  Thus, there has been a conflict between home and your goals or organizational obligations.  The mediator in this aspect pattern, known as a triangle of potential, is Neptune who forms a favorable aspect to both Jupiter and Saturn.  Neptune is in Aquarius, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt, shared resources and intense experiences.  Neptune brings a spiritual dimension to this part of your life, deepening your perceptions and providing insights which open up new avenues of thought.  This is probably exactly what you need to figure out how to balance your home and goals or whichever entities from the 4th and 11th which are are trying to resolve.

Mercury is still retrograde for the eclipse in Sagittarius, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets.  This is a time when things at work probably don't go too well.  Communications of all sorts are messed up, whether it's between people or electronic devices, which can bring a lot of frustration.  However, this is because this types of things are simply contrary to his internalized energy.  On the positive side this is a favorable time to review, edit, reconsider, rethink, re-plan, and revise.  Mercury's trine to Uranus in your 10th house of career, status, reputation and public image suggests something favorable but possibly sudden is likely to come along as a result of these ponderings.  For example, you may come up with a solution to an ongoing problem which brings you significant recognition.  Bear in mind that Uranus is going to be transiting this house for several years so various disruptions are likely to occur with regard to your career or status during that time.  If your birthday is right around June 22 you are probably already seeing this.  Be flexible and maintain a positive attitude and it should all work out in your favor.

The New Moon on December 24 is in Capricorn, your polar sign of relationships.  This suggests that something new is on the way with regard to a current relationship or perhaps someone new is coming into your life.  The square to Uranus indicates this could come about in a sudden manner and could cause some stress with regard to your status in some manner.  However, the trine to Jupiter indicates that over the long term this can have a favorable effect on either your goals, networking, or group activities.  In other words, however you handle this situation should reflect favorably on you and serve you well later. 

The triangle of potential described above involving Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune is still in force, though right after this lunation Jupiter stations direct, suggesting that the rumination period is over and a firm decision which leads to something good is on the way.  Money may be involved and possibly get in the way, perhaps an unexpected expense, but this should be of relatively short duration.  If your birthday is right around June 24th this lunation will oppose your natal Sun and have a stronger, more noticeable effect.
