Lunations and Long-term Aspects The first thing you need to note about this month is that Mercury is going to be retrograde again for the majority of the month. As you probably already know, this is NOT the time to buy anything electronic or mechanical, which you may be doing as part of any back-to-school preparations. Considering that Mercury slows down before he actually goes into reverse, even the first few days are questionable and after that, the shadow period lasts until September 10, making it best to wait until then, if at all possible, before buying anything that fits that description. If your car dies, you'd really be better off renting one; if your washer or dryer dies, do to the laundromat. Last year my fridge died during a Mercury RX period and I lived out of an ice chest for over two weeks. A few days after he went direct I bought a new one and while it basically works, it sounds as if it's haunted and things like the freezer handle have a propensity to fall off every now and then. So consider yourself warned. Jupiter goes retrograde at the end of the month in your Sign. There are certainly worse planets to have staked out in your neighborhood than this benefic giant. If your birthday is between April 29 - May 2 he will be making a pass over your natal Sun, which should bring something good your way, even if it's simply recognition. This could possibly relate to rejuvenating something related to your beliefs, a legal matter, trip abroad, or education which has been long buried. The Full Moon on August 13 is in Aquarius, your 10th house of career, status, reputation and public image. Since a Full Moon typically denotes an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, watch for something of that nature to manifest. Remember that "status" is a catch-all as diverse as what you may post in that category on Facebook. Anything that could appear in the public record or newspaper pertains such as any kind of license, certification or title. Neptune has recently slipped back into Aquarius via retrograde motion, bringing his energy back to that venue. Of course he'd been there for a long time, since the late 90s, so that energy is familiar. Neptune rules our dreams but also our pipe dreams and deception which can make things disappear or dissolve before our eyes. Bear this in mind with anything involving this house; whatever appears to be on the way may not manifest into reality. There are a few other challenges associated with this lunation such as a conflict between your thoughts and beliefs. Of course your beliefs are the end-product of your thoughts, so this implies that they could be caught up in a transformation where it's time to do some housecleaning as far as your current beliefs are concerned. They may no longer apply at this stage of your life. Other areas that may be renovated include your education, a legal matter, your political or religious leanings, interaction with other cultures, or relocating. Uranus, planet of the unexpected, surprises, rebellion, breaking free, and sudden change, is in your 12th house of angels and demons which includes spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. The possibilities of what Uranus can do in this house is nearly endless and whatever he's up to is going to reverberate through your thoughts and beliefs. Thus, you need to ponder what it means to you. Whatever you need to do, transforming your beliefs is going to have a favorable effect on you. As a Fixed Sign, you don't tend to change much or easily, but this particular situation is going to open up vistas and personal possibilities you've previously ignored. The New Moon on August 28 is in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, romance, children, entertainment and speculation. It looks like there may be a conflict between you and your boss during this time or perhaps you'll get a job assignment which represents a lot of work and effort that presents a challenge. This should not last too long, so try to take it in stride with your usual patience. If you come up with a creative idea which you want to turn into a career, make sure that you're being realistic. It almost seems foolish to say that to a practical sign like Taurus, but it needs to be said with Neptune in your 10th house. This is not to say you can't attain your dream, only that you need to recognize what is real versus what isn't. Whatever Uranus is up to as referred to above, will eventually effect a change of course in your 5th house. This in turn will open up various possibilities of a favorable nature. This is generally a very favorable time when you can expand and grow, project yourself in a favorable way and pursue the pleasantries found in the 5th house. Again, you need to figure out how it will show up, but it's there, particularly as you reconstruct your belief system which will also reflect in who and what you are as well as what you can achieve. |
