Lunations and Long-term Aspects The first thing you need to note about this month is that Mercury is going to be retrograde again for the majority of the month. As you probably already know, this is NOT the time to buy anything electronic or mechanical, which you may be doing as part of any back-to-school preparations. Considering that Mercury slows down before he actually goes into reverse, even the first few days are questionable and after that, the shadow period lasts until September 10, making it best to wait until then, if at all possible, before buying anything that fits that description. If your car dies, you'd really be better off renting one; if your washer or dryer dies, do to the laundromat. Last year my fridge died during a Mercury RX period and I lived out of an ice chest for over two weeks. A few days after he went direct I bought a new one and while it basically works, it sounds as if it's haunted and things like the freezer handle have a propensity to fall off every now and then. So consider yourself warned. Jupiter goes retrograde at the end of the month in Taurus, your 7th house of close relationships. While doing the backstroke Jupiter tends to bring out ethical issues or situations which affect your philosophy of life or beliefs. This month if your birthday is between November 1 - 4 this will be most noticeable, so give it some thought. Remember that the 7th house includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners and those professionals with whom you have a one on one relationship such as your accountant or financial advisor. The Full Moon on August 13 is in Aquarius, your 4th house of home environment, memories, and endings. Since a Full Moon typically indicates a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase, watch for something along those lines in this part of your life. Your Sign Ruler, Pluto, is fairly active in this lunation. He is currently transiting your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and familiar journeys where he will be for a long time which will bring about various transformations in this part of your life. If your birthday is right around October 29 watch for opportunities in this area. Keep an eye out for changes or disruptions at work or possibly with your health during this time. Another possibility is that you'll dig up some dirt at work which causes a major stir and possible legal problems. On the other hand, you may come up with an idea which represents a major breakthrough and your company decides they want to transfer you to another office far away, necessitating a relocation. In other words, a challenge of some description is likely. The New Moon on August 28 occurs in Virgo, your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, networking, and goals. With Venus in close proximity good things are implied. There are still a few lingering stressful aspects so whatever issue occurred at work is ongoing. Your ancient sign ruler, Mars, is in your 9th house still, possibly stirring things up with regard to your beliefs, expectations, legal matters or travel to unfamiliar places, to name a few. He's currently squaring Saturn in Libra, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing. The good news here is that Saturn is exalted in Libra which tends to bring out his positive side which includes discipline, responsibility, ability to structure activities and projects, and so forth. Nonetheless, this implies a conflict between your beliefs and being truly enlightened. Fortunately, this aspect won't be around for long. Neptune has stepped back into Aquarius due to retrograde motion, bringing him back into your 4th house of home environment and such as noted above opposite the New Moon. This suggests deception or being unrealistic, so make sure you use your Scorpio discernment to fully understand what this New Moon is saying. Generally speaking this lunation has numerous positive aspects going for it, however. Uranus in your 6th house of work seems to be effecting a change which is likely to appear in your goals or perhaps your work group, implying a possible transfer. Jupiter is trining the New Moon which indicates you may be expanding your close relationships soon, or that someone you currently know on a casual basis is about to become more important in a favorable way. Your Sign Ruler, Pluto, is also indicating one of your old ideas may yet come to fruition or attain new life. If this situation fits something in your life currently, use these energies to push it in the direction you want it to go. |
