Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month is on November 5th in Scorpio, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings so look for some new development in one of those areas. If your birthday is within a day or so of September 6 this will be even more obvious. For those of you pursuing a change or something new in one of those areas, watch for some surprising developments to come your way which will involve someone you know, possibly quite well. Don't believe everything you hear in the workplace and beware of deception. In particular, guard your ideas as it's possible that someone may try to steal them and claim them as their own. If you've been having any vague physical symptoms or health problems, attempts to gather information or a diagnosis may bring news that creates a challenge. Neptune has been transiting your 6th House of work, health, service and pets for a long, long time so lack of clarity or illusions have become "normal." This will become a little clearer after Neptune goes direct. Neptune is good for the imagination, however, so this has not been entirely negative, though Virgos tend to see the cup as half empty rather than full. Venus retrograde has been in Scorpio since last month but moves into your 2nd House on the 7th. More on that later. For the sake of this lunation, she's still doing the backstroke in Scorpio. Venus RX is the Warrior Goddess rather than the Love Goddess. This may have darkened your thoughts or facilitated behavior which was out of character, particularly with regard to your finances, possessions or philosophy of life. You may have seen or perceived things you'd previously missed and reassessed one or more situations as well. This may rumble around in your unconscious until she goes direct on the 17th. You'll encounter various things to think about with respect to your close relationships this month. These may involve ethics issues or a major change you're considering. Close relationships in the astrological context include close friends and relatives, your significant other, business partners and any professionals with whom you have a one-on-one relationship such as financial advisors, attorneys, and even your hair stylist. Also included in this house are your competitors and open enemies, in other words those people you know are NOT your friend. Nonetheless, news and ideas will come in a steady flow and may also involve siblings or neighbors. Most of this should be positive so enjoy. Saturn has been transiting your 2nd House of material possessions for a while now, which is going to impose some limitations, but also help you maintain firm discipline in this part of your life. You may find it harder to meet your needs or relax during this time, so don't be so strict as to make it onerous. Find ways to relax that don't cost money and take advantage of it by saving as much as possible during this time. Mars is in Sagittarius all month long, which may stir up a lot of activity and possibly contention at home. Use the energy in a productive way such as starting a new project around the house. The Full Moon on November 21 is in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 9th House of legal matters, higher learning, beliefs and expectations (including politics and religion), other cultures, foreign travel and relocation. This will bring an ending or culmination to something in this part of your life or possibly a shift to a different phase. Financial benefits of some sort are favored as a result, even though a major change to one or more relationships is likely as well. Some minor friction or irritations will be involved, but nothing you can't overcome. Keep your expectations realistic and use your usual logic to manage any challenges. Daily and Short Term Aspects November 1: Relationships will be the focus today which may involve your core beliefs in some way. You may see something you previously missed or understand it in a different way. Self-awareness is heightened, particularly as it relates to your past. This is a favorable time to get to know yourself a little better. November 4: Expect the unexpected from someone close to you. Disruptions or disturbances are quite likely. The day is likely to be hectic and involve a lot of errands and running around. November 5: New Moon in Scorpio as described above. November 6: Don't believe everything you hear today, especially at work. If possible, get it in writing and make sure you both have a clear understanding of what's expected. Sudden or disruptive news from someone close to you is likely. An unexpected expense is likely as well. November 7: Retrograde Venus enters Libra, which will stir up a few issues related to your finances, income or possessions, though you may not recognize them until after Venus goes direct on the 18th. Neptune goes direct today, possibly bringing a few things to the surface with regard to your work or health. November 8: Your Sign Ruler, Mercury, enters Sagittarius, which will facilitate communications at home. This may also bring out memories more than usual and tend you toward reminiscing. If you keep a journal, this is a good time for that or writing memoirs, or simply communicating with family members. November 10: You may discover something about yourself or someone else which creates friction or an annoyance. If it's something from the distant past, it may be best to let sleeping dogs lie. November 14: Something may break down at home which causes an unexpected expenditure. Another possibility is that you'll be tempted to buy something you really shouldn't at this time. Let your financial common sense take precedence, no matter how appealing it may be. November 15: Spend some time with the people who mean the most to you today and get to know each other better. It's also a good time for socializing with your siblings or neighbors and deepening those relationships as well. November 17: Household conflicts over money or differences of opinion with regard to the family budget are likely to arise. Again, staying within the bounds of your budget is recommended. November 18: Venus goes direct which will bring out those things that have been stirred up over the past six weeks for conscious review. Take a long, hard look at any situations involving home or work; you may discover you weren't seeing things clearly, which will cause a surprise at least and disturbance at worst. Jupiter comes out of retrograde, which will bring his energy back to his usual expansive influence as opposed to internal ruminations regarding your beliefs. This will have an overall favorable effect on your relationships. November 20: Arguments are possible around home unless you direct the energy elsewhere, such as to starting a new project or gathering information with regard to one. Your finances may get your attention, especially any limitations. November 21: Full Moon in Taurus as described above. November 22: The Sun enters Sagittarius, bringing emphasis to your home environment. November 25: Someone close to you may place some demands on you today which conflict with your plans. Since this is Thanksgiving and a family gathering, at least in the US, is likely, you can just about imagine who it will be. November 27: Spend some time using your imagination or seeking inspiration and enlightenment, particularly as it applies to one of your projects. However, what you come up with may present a few challenges. November 29: Venus enters Scorpio, a favorable transit for relating to your siblings and neighbors. Relationship issues are likely to escalate today as well. November 30: Your Sign Ruler, Mercury, enters Capricorn, your 5th House of ego definition, creativity, speculation, children, romantic interests and hobbies, which will stimulate thoughts and ideas with regard to all these areas.
