Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month is on December 5th in fellow Mutable Sign, Sagittarius, your 4th House of home environment, memories and cultural roots. If your birthday is within a day or so of September 6 this lunation will square your Natal Sun and be more noticeable. Your Sign Ruler, Mercury, is in Capricorn conjunct Pluto. Capricorn is your 5th House of children (including your inner child), ego definition, entertainment, speculation, romance and hobbies. With Pluto and Mercury in that neighborhood you can expect to experience a variety of flashbacks to past experiences related to that part of your life. If your birthday is within a day or so of August 28 this will trine your Natal Sun. Theoretically this implies a favorable influence but it may get worse before it gets better if you have something there that needs attention. Pluto is about dredging out old issues which weren't properly resolved so they can be cleared up once and for all. This ultimately is a good thing but is not always pleasant initially. Think of it like lancing a boil or abscess so it can heal once and for all. If there is someone you need to have a heavy conversation with about the past, now is the time to do so. This should be a favorable month on the financial side provided you use your usual good sense in this part of your life. There are likely to be some conflicts with family members and/or others with whom you have a close relationship. This may be extended family but could also be business partners or professionals with whom you work on a one-on-one basis. There could be some deception involved or perhaps you're not seeing things clearly, which will exacerbate the situation. Use your Earth Sign practicality to reasons things through. The Full Moon in Gemini, your 10th House of career and reputation on December 21 is also a Lunar Eclipse, giving it additional punch. By this time Mercury is retrograde, which typically is a difficult time for Virgos. Note that Mercury goes retrograde from December 9 - 30 making it an unfavorable time to buy electronics or mechanical devices. Of course with this the holiday season this does not bode well if you give or receive such items. Thus, it's advisable to stick to such things as clothing and food items. If you receive any electronics or mechanical devices which prove the point, wait until after December 30 to take them back or you'll get more of the same. If your birthday is right around September 23 your Natal Sun will form a T-square with this lunation. This is likely to put you in the middle of some sort of a conflict that involves your home and career. This eclipse is a member of the 13 North family in the Saros series which relates to large or ambitious group projects which require the breaking of an existing bond. On the individual level this could relate to a separation and then a joint endeavor of some sort. This experience will result in some changes to one or more relationship. You will have a lot of creative energy which you should put to good use. If you're working on a project for work, it's going to require some revising but this will ultimately result in a better product so use your Virgo perfectionistic tendencies to enjoy this period of nitpicking and improving your plans. Your ability to find the hidden flaw is enhanced and can make you look extremely good to your superiors. Daily and Short Term Aspects December 1: You creativity should be in high gear today so put them to good use. It's particularly good for examining any speculative ventures and finding the information you need. December 2: This is a favorable day to ponder anything going on at work while doing routine work around the house. You know, those "no-brainer" projects where your mind can wander down creative paths such as raking leaves or painting. Just be careful if you're using ladders or power tools and stay focused on the task at hand at those times. December 3: Conflicts related to one or more relationships may arise today which you'll find more irritating than usual. Watch your temper and don't say anything that you'll regret later. December 5: Hidden information may surface today or possibly old memories of situations that were never entirely resolved. New Moon in Sagittarius as described above. December 6: Uranus comes out of retrograde which will help stabilize some of the surprises disruptions you've seen in your relationships the last few months. Changes in this area will be more long-lasting and less erratic now. December 7: An excellent day to pay attention to the family budget and plan expenditures for the year ahead. December 8: You may find yourself ruminating on something from the past. If it was hurtful in any way getting some from of revenge or retribution may have a lot of appeal. Consider whether you really need any more bad karma before doing anything you'll regret. Mars goes into Capricorn, bringing his energy to your creative side though it could stir things up a bit with your romantic relationships or children. December 10: Mercury stations retrograde today and will be doing the backstroke until December 30th. Remember not to buy anything electronic or mechanical during this time. It's favorable for revising, editing, repairing, re-planning and so forth, however, so put your Virgo flair for details to work in a positive way. It's also a good day for having a conversation with someone about that old issue provided you're not still harboring thoughts of revenge. December 13: There will be a tremendous amount of energy in your 5th House today which includes your children, ego, romantic interests, hobbies, speculations and so forth. You could encounter power struggles or explosive conversations or on the positive side tremendous creative energy and the drive to make it happen. Do you best to use this powerful energy involving conjunctions between Mars, Pluto and Mercury in a positive way. December 15: An excellent day for communicating with a loved one. Sharing your heartfelt thoughts and ideas will have an expansive effect on your relationship. December 16: Your home life and expanding a relationship may come into conflict today or you may be aware that such exists. You should be able to work things out favorably. December 29: Something you want to do is likely to clash with your budget. Depending on how badly you want it you may be able to work around it by restructuring a few things.
