Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on December 5 occurs in Sagittarius, your 8th House of transformation, inheritances, death and regeneration, sex, debt and shared resources which will bring something new your way in this part of your life. Bear in mind this may be no more dramatic than a significant "Aha" moment, though of course it could be. This is the house of significant personal growth and those experiences that get your attention and make you a different person. If your birthday is within a day of May 4th this is likely to bring a change of direction or adjustment in your personal life which will have noticeable impact. Most of the aspects associated with this lunation imply opportunities thought there is at least one challenge as well, which is likely to relate to either your friends, group associations or goals encountering a sudden change. Mars is still transiting your 8th House until December 8 so continue to be careful since Mars in the 8th can predispose you to accidents, which of course could mess up your plans in a big hurry. The opportunities look quite promising, however. First of all, the opportunity to take on more responsibility with your work may be coming your way. There is also the chance for deepening your understanding of your true beliefs via a close relationship, possibly a romantic one. Even that 8th House Mars holds an opportunity which relates to your career dreams. Thus, things overall look favorable, provided you keep an eye on Mars a bit longer. The Full Moon on December 21 is also a Lunar Eclipse, giving it additional punch. This means that it can either be in effect for as long as six months until the next one or, conversely, it could be the culmination of something which started last July; you decide. There is quite a bit of challenge associated with this one plus Mercury is retrograde, which typically holds things up in one way or another. Thus, it may be time to rethink or reconsider something you thought you had solved. The lunation itself occurs in Gemini, your 2nd House of possessions, finances, income, needs and pleasures, so this part of your life will be involved in some way. The challenge is likely to again relate to your goals, friends or group associations in some way. This somewhat smells like one of your friends asking for a loan or to borrow something, so bear that in mind. If that sounds like a possibility you may want to start thinking of a tactful way to refuse rather than being blindsided. Your status, career or reputation may give you a graceful way out as well, so be sure to use your imagination to help solve any dilemmas that arise. Daily and Short-term Aspects December 1: This is a favorable time to enhance a close relationship by sharing your beliefs and expectations. Understanding begins with such dialogs so take advantage of this opportunity. December 2: If you're not sure what you want to be when you grow up, you may get some ideas to work with today. December 3: Expect the unexpected today, especially from your friends or group associations. This might be the time when someone asks for a loan or some other favor that could mean trouble. December 5: Deep understanding of your beliefs and what your true philosophy of life is can come today so find some quiet time to think about it. New Moon today as well, as described above. December 6: Uranus comes out of retrograde which should help stabilize your goals compared to all the disruptions and surprises that have occurred the past several months. If your friends have been full of surprises, this will also help you bring this under control, perhaps by making a radical change to your group associations. December 7: More responsibility with regard to your work or health could bring a significant change into your life. This is an opportunity you shouldn't pass up. December 8: This is a favorable time to deepen that relationship even more that you should have been working on a week ago. Now's the time to really spill your guts with regard to your thoughts on life and anything major going on. Mars goes into Capricorn today and enters your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, higher learning, foreign travel, other cultures and relocation, bringing his energy and drive to that part of your life. Thus, if you want to pursue something in one of those areas, now is an excellent time to get started. December 10: Another good day for those heart-to-heart talks. Mercury goes retrograde today until December 30th, making it time for some serious reconsiderations. It's also not a good time to purchase electronic or mechanical devices, so if you're still doing your holiday shopping, stick to clothes and food as presents instead. December 13: Mars, Pluto and retrograde Mercury converge today in your 9th House, which was described for December 8. This is a tremendous amount of energy and a good time to give deep and soulful consideration to what is going on in your life, anything that is amiss, and what you need to do to straighten things out. If everything is going well, this is still a favorable time for examining your core beliefs and determining whether any changes are called for. A relocation may also be under consideration at this time. December 15: This has the potential for being a very lucky day with your relationships, friends, goals and networking. If nothing else, get together with the people who mean the most to you today for a very enjoyable time together. December 16: An excellent day to consider expanding your goals in an entirely new direction which will also bring personal growth. December 18: There are numerous astrological influences operating today so expect something of significance to happen. Possibilities include a major revelation with regard to your status or career, major changes to a relationship, and sudden transformations with regard to your goals. December 19: Mercury backs into Sagittarius via retrograde motion, giving you time to think about the direction you're heading. You should have plenty of thoughts coming your way to ponder, including some relationship issues. December 20: Unexpected changes or events that relate to your group activities or goals will give you plenty to think about today. Consider your status in an honest way, admitting inspiration but only that which is realistic. December 21: Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Gemini as described above. Watch for additional insights and challenges which can affect your philosophy of life. The Sun goes into fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, which will bring emphasis to your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, and so forth. December 30: Mercury goes direct which will help you move forward once again with regard to where you're headed with your life.
