Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The New Moon on August 9th is in fellow Fixed Sign, Leo, your 4th House of home environment, so look for something new to come your way in this part of your life. This will have the most impact for those of you born within a day or so of May 8. This lunation is not aspecting any planets which is also the case for Mercury and Neptune. The other six, however, are all participating in a Cardinal T-square which is highly likely to provoke action, though much of it is going to be on the mental plane. In other words, expect some interesting happenings in the work place which will highlight your responsibilities, though these will go beyond your regular duties and into the realm of what's ethical and what's not. One possibility is that you meet someone on the job whom you're very attracted to, yet you know that getting involved with someone at work can present a plethora of problems, especially if it's frowned upon by your employer. Thus, you'll have a lot of soul-searching to do which is going to reflect upon your beliefs, expectations, what you're willing to stand behind and what simply isn't worth it. You need to bear in mind that such decisions that reflect in your actions are a significant part of how others see you and that gaining their respect or losing it will be a factor to consider. You can achieve a higher plane or, conversely, undermine yourself and ultimately your future in the process. At the least, expect to see things differently when all is said and done.

The Full Moon on August 24 is in Pisces, your 11th House of friends, organizations, goals, networking and group associations. This will bring an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase regarding something in this part of your life. The T-square described for the New Moon is still in effect as far as the outer planets Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus are concerned, but Mars and Venus have moved on, though still conjunct, implying a lot of relationship action. In fact, if you're not already with someone you'll probably be on the prowl, which could be why that person at work is looking better than you'd noticed before.

This lunation comes with a few other aspect which will color its influence. A surprise or two will come your way from a friend or associate which is going to result in an adjustment to how you see and express yourself. With the Sun in Virgo at this time, there will be an emphasis on your 5th House of creativity, ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation which is where an event or situation will occur which triggers an unexpected action from that friend or associate, ultimately bringing about a change of course. If you've been failing to see things as they really are, brace yourself for a reality check. Expect some adjustments or changes to your responsibilities as well, all of which is going to affect you more than you'll realize at the time.

August 2: Your awareness of moral principles such as ethics and their influence on you as well as others will increase at this time and change your view of the world and life in some way.

August 3: Your ponderings will culminate in action of some sort today which is most likely to be related to your work. A transformation to your core beliefs or confronting an unresolved issue regarding them will result.

August 4: A romantic interest may effect a change of course with regard to your status, career or public image.

August 6: Venus enters Libra, which she rules, giving her an environment where she can function according to her nature. As she enters your 6th House of work, health and pets, this will be beneficial to you regarding how you're perceived by those around you. It's a favorable time to interview, present your ideas, or ask for a raise.

August 7: Something unexpected will occur at work, perhaps no more than some pronounced daydreaming which will have a significant affect on you.

August 8: This is an excellent day to make sure you execute your responsibilities in the best possible manner as it's likely to be seen in a favorable light.

August 9: New Moon today as described above. If you're attracted to someone, particularly at work, expect other issues to be in the way which will challenge your current beliefs or possibly dig up old unresolved issues.

August 10: Your upbringing will reflect upon your ponderings today, bringing enlightenment and new understanding. An ending or new beginning is possible as you see things differently than before.

August 13: Uranus backs into Pisces through retrograde motion, bringing the potential for disruptions and the unexpected to occur within your circle of friends, group activities or even your goals.

August 16: Ponder your responsibilities and obligations as well as the boundaries and restrictions you're experiencing or may encounter as consequences.

August 20: Seek for the truth and stark reality of what's before you so that you can see your choices clearly. That attraction to someone or desire to partner will be particularly strong today. Expect interactions with the opposite sex to be intense. Mercury goes retrograde today, a time to rethink, re-plan, reconsider, edit and re-do anything that wasn't done correctly the first time. August 21: This is another day when you need to ponder your obligations, your past and where you're currently headed. If you've been irresponsible in the past it may come back to bite you at this time.

August 22: The Sun enters Virgo, bringing emphasis to your ego, self-expression, creativity, children and lovelife. Surprising insights into yourself or a situation in this part of your life are possible so find some quiet time to discover them; you're likely to change direction when you do.

August 25: Self-discovery is emphasized today, which can be a powerful experience that sends you in a new direction as far as your beliefs and expectations for yourself and others are concerned.
