Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on August 9th is in Leo, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings, so look for something new to come your way in this part of your life. If your birthday is right around June 8th this will have the most impact. The New Moon, i.e. the Sun/Moon combination, is not aspecting any of the other planets; neither are Mercury or Neptune. The other six, however, are involved in a Cardinal T-square which is likely to bring some action in one form or another. Starting in the first corner we have Uranus and Jupiter in impulsive Aries, a combination that can bring extreme surprises. They're currently in your 11th House of friends, networking, groups, organizations and goals. If your birthday is right around May 23 this could bring an opportunity your way from out of the blue, so keep an eye out for it. Opposing Jupiter and Uranus is a rolling stellium in Libra comprising Saturn, Venus and Mars. This is your 5th House of creativity, ego expression, children, romance, entertainment and speculation and is well-positioned to you folks with the May 23rd birthday, even though the transits themselves are in a less-than-friendly pattern. In other words, something favorable is likely to come along in this part of your life though there may be some conflict between this event and the one involving your friends. This could be no more than planning a nice evening with your honey then finding out your friends are having a big beer bash (or hen party) that same night. The planet that will make this most interesting is Pluto who's at the apex of the T-square in Capricorn, your 8th House of transformations along with sex, death and debt. This implies that these other events will change you in some way which has a lasting effect. It won't necessarily be earth-shattering, though it could be; it could be as simple as getting over a past hang-up or ditching old baggage. For example, maybe you've always been afraid of flying in an airplane, which has limited your opportunities to see the world or even visit relatives who lived far away. If you did whatever was required to get over this fear, fly somewhere and put your phobia behind you, this would be a transformation which would have a lasting effect, yet not necessarily be seen by others as a big deal. Thus, T-square not-with-standing, it happens to hit the chart of Geminis in a favorable way so look for something pleasant to come your way this month. The Full Moon on August 24 occurs in Pisces, your 10th House of career, status, reputation and public image. This will be most noticeable if your birthday is within a day or so of May 23, so you folks have a busy month before you. Watch for this lunation to culminate or shift something in this part of your life to a different phase. Remember that "status" encompasses a lot of ground. Think of anything that comprises a title or label, which may appear in the newspaper or public record, or even minor things such as you would post under your "status" in a networking site such as Facebook. The T-square noted for the New Moon is still in effect along with various other energies. Watch for a few surprises or disruptions, particularly with regard to your career or status. Transformational changes that relate to your homelife are possible. These won't necessarily be dramatic; they could be as simple as getting past a phobia or other hang-up or changing your opinion toward something. Expect a lot of activity that relates to your home. If you've been unrealistic about anything, you can expect that to come out as well. A change of course will be called for which will relate to your children, romantic interests or speculations. Daily and Short-term Aspects August 2: An ethical issue of some description will arise today which will change you in some way. August 3: Pursing something you want has a downside; be sure to look at it with your usual Air Sign objectivity before doing something you may live to regret. August 4: A change of course or adjustment will be required today which will relate to something or someone at home versus your beliefs and expectations. Other possible topics could be a legal matter, religion, politics, foreign travel, relocation or academia. August 6: Venus enters Libra, bringing her blessings to your 5th House of children, romance, ego definition, entertainment and speculation. August 7: Expect the unexpected today as it relates to any group activities, your goals and speculations. August 8: Serious responsibilities or restrictions may appear today with regard to love or money. August 9: New Moon today as described above. It's important today to concentrate on doing the right thing. This isn't a very good day for gambling on anything. August 10: Your ability to see something in a clear and logical way is strong. Be objective and take the moral high road. August 13: Uranus enters Pisces until next March. Expect the unexpected with regard to your career, status and reputation during that time.
