Scorpio Pluto Fixed Water 8th Since both are Water Signs, they are in trine.
Pisces Neptune Mutable Water 12th
What you like about each other:  Fully reciprocated emotional intensity, Pluto power aspirations have no competition, Pisces fascinated by Scorpio mystique.

What drives you crazy:  Scorpio intensity can be overwhelming to Pisces.  Fish idealism can clash with Plutonian traits. Scorpio rules other people's money and Pisces rules charity--do the math.

As two water signs that Trine each other these two are supposed to be a good bet. I’m not so sure. The fact that Fish and Crabs are Water signs makes sense, but I’ve always wondered how a Scorpion, which I think of as a desert creature, is in there, too. The only thing I can think of is that Scorpios are definitely ruled by emotion and there was no place else to put them, other than their own category. But they are not emotional in the same sense as their fellow water signs. The one thing you should never forget about a Scorpion is the fact their tail can be lethal. Of course, Fish range from goldfish to barracudas, too, though this is somewhat unusual. If you’re a Pisces, I recommend that you think about this and decide in which fish category you would characterize yourself. Then ponder a bit on that Scorpion’s tail.

Most Pisces live in a sea of emotion and are very caring, compassionate people. They get hurt easily, tend to be a bit martyristic, and try to live their life as harmlessly as possible. Once they Progress into Aries, this can change a lot, but we’re talking about the average Fish. And that brings up a good point. If you think you’re more of a shark or maybe piranha, then maybe you’ve made the switch from Pisces to Aries, in which case you need to also read the Aries – Scorpio profile. But if you’re a classic Fish, you know you’re sensitive and you need to protect yourself.  And a note to Scorpio, if your favorite Fish changes signs to Aries, you are going to wonder what on Earth happened, because there are few signs more diametrically opposed than those two.

Scorpios are not necessarily predatory or overtly harmful. Not at all. They are very affectionate, loyal to their families and friends, and will also be very protective of them. Likewise jealous and generally intense.  And make sure you're aware of the fact that Scorpio's abode is the 8th House, which includes sex, death & regeneration, debt, and other people’s money. Kind of scary, isn’t it? For one thing, if sex isn’t one of your favorite sports, you may not be too happy with a Scorpio, and vice versa. I won’t go into that any further in what is supposed to be a "G" rated website (all right, maybe PG or even PG-13, but definitely not an R) but think about it--a lot. Don’t overreact to the "death" part. Pluto usually has something to do with death, including inheritances and the like, but that is usually set off by transit activity, so don’t worry about that.  It's usually more a figurative death and rebirth of something other than a person, i.e., transformation, if you know what I mean.

The "other people’s money" can be an issue, however. And Pisces, ruled by Neptune, tend to be a bit gullible, very sympathetic, and believing. They also like to rescue people. This can make them easy prey to a sob story. So be careful. Before you whip out your checkbook, Visa, or debit card to help anyone out, you need to talk to one of your Earth sign friends (Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn) for advice. I mean it. If you follow their advice you can save yourself a lot of grief and possibly money, and I mean in general, not just with this one particular relationship.  Not all Scorpios demonstrate this trait, at least not on their immediate friends and associates, particularly if they have other resources available.  (Along these lines, Scorpios and Taurus often work in banks. They love handling money, even if it's not their own.)

Scorpios can be very intense. As I recall, Pluto rules nuclear power, so figure that any Water the Scorpion is immersed in will be quite warm. Unless you’re a tropical fish, it may be too much. Remember that Scorpio is a Fixed sign and Pisces Mutable, so guess who’s going to have to do that adapting? It’s possible, I suppose, for these two to have a reasonably good relationship. Pisces can be easy going and might not mind being dominated by a Scorpio, but if you have any doubts, I would think about it very hard and very carefully and listen to your Earth sign friends.  This is another one of those matches that can be very, very good or very, very bad.  Much is going to depend on the compatibility between your Moon signs and Ascendants.

As for you, Scorpio, you need to think about it, also, because this particular Fish really might not be what you’re looking for. If they get hurt, they generally withdraw and can become the proverbial "cold Fish." In my experience with Scorpio, I don’t think you’d be very happy with that. I don’t like to see anyone get hurt. So both of you need to look at this real hard and make sure you know what you’re getting into before you make any big decisions. This is another one that should involve a long engagement unless you want to risk being labeled "Dysfunctional R Us."  A classic Scorpio-Pisces couple was Richard Burton and Liz Taylor.  Check out their history sometime.  Hot is not necessarily synonymous with stable, but I suppose it depends on what you're looking for.
