The New Moon this month on June 8th is in Gemini, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, debt, shared resources, intense experiences and things you suppress. This is the house that Scorpio rules zodiacally and thus one to which you can probably relate. A New Moon implies something new coming your way which will be particularly strong for those of you born within a day or so of November 11th. There are numerous closed loop aspects associated with this lunation which carry a variety of influences. First of all, there's a Cardinal T-square comprising Uranus in Aries, Mercury in Cancer and Pluto, your modern sign ruler, in Capricorn. You're probably already aware of that Uranus - Pluto square which will be in effect on and off for a few more years to come. It's quite intense, needless to say, and has already been evident on the mundane scene in such things as extreme/violent weather, explosions from covert sources whether intentional or not, exposure of corporate and government corruption and so forth.

For Scorpios, Pluto is in your 3rd house of thought, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. You already have an exceptionally strong sense of discernment, a figurative version of Superman's x-ray vision, and Pluto in your house of thought will strengthen that even further. It is highly doubtful that anyone will be able to put one over on you anyway but especially now. Use it in good health and with favorable karma in mind! Uranus, planet of surprises, disruptions, breakthroughs, rebellion, freedom, explosions and disturbances is in Aries, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. If you are in a line of work such as research, auditing, forensics or anything else looking to uncover hidden information, which are perfect occupations for Scorpios, Uranus will help you find such things in unusual and unexpected ways when coupled with Pluto. This may not be easy and may ultimately cause a significant disturbance on the work scene, but you are well-positioned to use this energy to advantage. Other signs are hunkered down in their bunkers until this aspect is gone but you can put it to work rather nicely.

Mercury, which converts this square to a T-square of short duration is in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, religion, politics, philosophy of life, other cultures, long-distance travel, relocation and legal matters. Mercury is natural ruler of communications and movement which should facilitate the information you need whether it relates to new knowledge, travel or a new outlook, attitude or view of the world. If your birthday is right around November 3rd your natal Sun connects with these planets in a way you can definitely use to advantage. Consider any circumstance in your life where these energies fit and go for it, rejoicing that an aspect that is potentially malefic for others can work nicely for you. Remember, use this energy or it will use you, but about the only ones you need fear are fellow Scorpions.

Another aspect in effect is a Grand Water Trine that comprises Venus in Cancer, Saturn in your sign, and Neptune in Pisces. If your birthday is right around October 29 Saturn is transiting your natal Sun which actually may be on the grueling side. Saturn RX relates to restructuring or rebuilding something and on your Sun it's personal. If you've felt weighted down, depressed, oppressed, gloom and doom or generally bummed out, then Saturn is probably why. He has been in this state since February 18 and he stationed retrograde on your Sun if you birthday is right around November 4, which was probably somewhat uncomfortable. He stations direct July 7 and is on your natal Sun if your birthday is around October 28. Those on whom he stations get the strongest punch though everyone inbetween will feel it to some degree. But, the good news, is that this Grand Water Trine can help mitigate Saturn's potential hard lessons. He's not known as the king of karma or a stern taskmaster for nothing, but his lessons do tend to be beneficial in the long haul. So let's look at what else is afoot with the other members of that Grand Trine.

Venus is in Cancer, your 9th house of beliefs as defined above. Venus is natural ruler of love and money and rules your 12th house of the subconscious, inspiration, enlightenment, dreams, visions, spirituality, other dimensions, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. I typically refer to the 12th as the angels and demons house. She also rules your polar sign, Taurus, your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, business partners, close friends and relatives, business professionals, cliental and competitors/known enemies. Combining all these energies can bring insights into what you expect from those close to you and whether or not they are accurate or reasonable.

Neptune is in his dignity in Pisces, the sign he rules, which comprises your 5th house of ego development, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation or what is sometimes known as the "Fun House." Some even include fun, recreational sex in this house as it fits with romance while the other more intense or intimate versions are in the 8th. Neptune can bring considerable inspiration to this part of your life but be aware that during his long sojourn in this sign that it can also manifest as delusion or illusion, which is where that Scorpio discernment can help you see things as they really are. If you're a creative type, possibly reinventing yourself with Saturn's help or involved with someone romantically or simply trying to understand your children better, this can be quite useful. Neptune can dissolve what he touches so in the house that includes your ego definition this can help you get past any pride or ego issues and see yourself more clearly, which can combine nicely with whatever Saturn's agenda happens to be. So you can see how this easy flow of energies can also be to your advantage.

And that's not all! Mars, your traditional sign ruler, is connected with the Grand Trine planets since he is in the same degree of his sign (Gemini) as the others are in theirs. Mars is the great motivator, energizer and driver behind taking action. Gemini is your 8th house, as noted earlier, and where the New Moon occurs. Knowing what to do or making it happen may not be easy but it will more than likely be worth it. You may tend to resist acting on any inspiration for whatever reason, possibly because it is going to require some changes, which are what Saturn is working on. Mars can help you with any necessary adjustments or course changes.

The Full Moon on June 23 is in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts and so forth as defined above. This suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase with something in this part of your life. This could be as simple as taking a different route to work, a neighbor or sibling moving, etc. but can also be entirely on the mental plane. If your birthday is right around October 26 the lunation forms a Triangle of Potential with your natal Sun which should bring a chance to see things differently than previously based on embracing a new belief or something like that. The Uranus - Pluto square is still there, as expected, but no longer part of a T-square. The Grand Trine is still there except Venus has been replaced by the Sun, bringing more emphasis and light to your house of higher learning and beliefs, suggesting new information, understanding or perhaps an emphasis on long-distance travel, other cultures or even relocating as part of your personal changes related to Saturn and Neptune's work. Mercury and Venus are conjunct in that same venue which is excellent for expressing your views and knowledge. This would be an idea time to make a presentation.

At this time, however, Mars is unaspected (except for those of your born around November 9th) and could stall action or instill a strong feeling of inertia. Also note that Mars in the 8th can predispose you to accidents and intense experiences so don't take any unnecessary risks until he leaves, which will be July 14. Jupiter goes into Cancer, sign of his exaltation, on June 27 which will bring luck and expansion along with some optimism to your house of beliefs which should be a nice influence since he's also accidentally dignified in the 9th house. He will be there for about a year, making this a great time to learn or travel. Mercury goes retrograde on June 26, however, which is likely to necessitate rethinking something related to your beliefs and expectations. Don't expect to make much progress until at least July 19 and possibly into August. Reviewing and refining will occur during this time and whatever you do, avoid buying anything electronic or mechanical during this time. Other than this, however, things are looking good for Scorpios, actually quite a bit better than the other signs so put it too good use and enjoy!
