Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on September 12 is in Pisces, your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, debt, sex and shared resources which could bring about a change of direction with regard to, or perhaps because of, something occurring in this house. With the Sun transiting nextdoor neighboring sign, Virgo, this month is likely to highlight your income, finances or possessions in some way, tying these polar houses together. At least at this point Mercury is no longer in retrograde and has exited from the shadow period by the time of the lunation, allowing things to move forward at last. Mercury rules your 2nd house which includes your income and so forth as well as your 11th house of friends, networking, organizations and goals. Jupiter is transiting fellow Fixed Sign, Taurus, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status which should bode well for this part of your life. The trine between Mercury and Jupiter could indeed bring you favorable news in this regard, perhaps in the form of increased income or other benefit. When I worked as a NASA contractor a common practice was something we called "a promotion in lieu of raise" which is self-explanatory but recognition of any kind is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, something Leos typically know well. Mercury is tied into both Uranus and Pluto in a closed configuration worth exploring for its implications. Uranus is transiting fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 9th House of higher learning, legal matters such as contracts or lawsuits, other cultures, long-distance travel, religion, politics, beliefs and expectations and your philosophy of life. Uranus, of course, is all about surprises, disruptions, disturbances, rebellion, explosions and fun things like that all of which is further fueled by Aries. Mercury is quincunx this zodiacal trouble maker implying a change of direction hailing from an unexpected event that originates with one of those matters residing in your 9th house. Worst case, for example, would be sudden notice of a lawsuit which impacts your finances and necessitates a change of direction; of course this could be of a positive nature as well, depending on your circumstances. If you or perhaps one of your children is in college, this could also represent an unexpected notice that tuition has tripled in cost or something equally pleasant. If your birthday is between July 27 - 29 this is more likely to show up, though the surprise could be a good one. You could also undergo a complete change in your philosophy of life, find or abandon your religion or political party and so forth, according to what you perceive to be your needs, which are also housed in your 2nd house along with anything else of value. Uranus, in turn, is squaring Pluto and this combination is quite volatile given that Uranus is the revolutionary and Pluto is all about power, corruption and exposing that which has been hidden. If you've paid any attention to the news lately you've undoubtedly seen some of this at work on the mundane level. Pluto is in your 6th house of work and health and quincunx the Sun of those born July 28, give or take a day. This calls for an adjustment or change of course with regard to your job or perhaps your physical well-being. Pluto is going to be hanging out in Capricorn for quite a while to come and will be doing all sorts of excavating in this part of your life. Plutonian themes of power and corruption are highly likely at work and if you have any hidden health problems they are likely to surface during this time as well. There is going to be some sort of conflict between one of these and the fireworks going off in your 9th. If there's anything going on where you work which is illegal or immoral you are likely to rebel against it in some way. If there is something going on with your health which surfaces you may rebel against conventional treatments. The New Moon on September 27 is in Libra, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors so watch for something new to come into your life there. By this time Mars has moved into Leo and if your birthday is right around July 28 you will have a lot of energy and ambition with regard to whatever this happens to be, whether it's pursuing a new idea or getting together with a sibling. Mars is party to another one of those closed configurations, this one including Pluto again and also Jupiter. Again this points toward whatever is going on with your job or health and taking action, though you need to proceed with a certain degree of caution to make sure you don't find yourself stirring up more trouble than you're prepared to handle. Now is a time to carefully consider your actions for any future ramifications because whatever you do is not going to be in a vacuum but put out before the world for all to see, like it or not. The New Moon itself is the corner of a T-square which includes Uranus and Pluto, implying that whatever you're pursuing is going to generate trouble at work and some other surprises as well which could work against you. Again, follow the sage advice to look before you leap. |
