Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon on September 12 occurs in Pisces, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings. Watch for a culmination with regard to something related to this house; not necessarily and ending, though it could be, but likewise a shift in phase or level. If your birthday is within a day of January 10th this could present an opportunity in one of these areas. Pluto is still grinding away in your sign and is currently most intense for those of you born right around December 27. Since I'm a "Christmas baby" I have been through this visit from the god of the Underworld with him currently trining my ascendant. The effects will last on and off for about three years since Pluto moves slowly and will vary, depending on the house in which your natal Sun resides. With mine in my 4th house of home environment it involved a major move and life-style change which related to the decision to retire. It also has deep effects at the personal level which ultimately result in a major transformation. Since Pluto goes direct a few days after this lunation he will be making his final pass over your Sun in the coming weeks and months and moving on to the next few degrees. Typically there will be three contacts as he passes through the first time, goes retrograde and hits it again, then the final time upon going direct again. If you feel as if there is a major excavation going on in your life, which can manifest on both the physical and figurative planes, you can give the credit to this "planet" which astronomers have downgraded due to his size. Anyone who has ever experienced a Pluto transit, however, will quickly tell you in this case that size definitely does NOT matter. For this Lunation Pluto is in cahoots with both Uranus and Mercury. Uranus is in Aries, your 4th house of home environment, and while Uranus wanders through this house you can expect all sorts of surprises in your home environment, memories, family and cultural traditions, and so forth, particularly as he squares your natal Sun. Those born right around Christmas are being hit currently, as I can certainly attest. Uranus squaring Pluto certainly isn't particularly pleasant and this potentially violent combination has been manifesting regularly on the mundane plane as you probably know if you watch the news. The Readers' Digest version is that Uranus rules explosions, rebellions, and sudden change which will be operating on steroids in Aries and Pluto is the zodiacal backhoe which is operating in Capricorn, the natural sign of government and corporations. If you haven't noticed any excavating going on in those venues you undoubtedly don't watch the news. If this square is hitting your chart you can expect nearly daily encounters. For me yesterday it was an unexpected power bump which of course occurred while I was writing these horoscopes and today it is a sudden leak from a relatively new washing machine. I have gotten to the point where I watch for it and then tally it up once it occurs. Mercury is trining Pluto and quincunx Uranus from fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, which gratefully trines Capricorn. Mercury will trine your natal Sun exactly if your birthday is December 28, give or take a day. Virgo represents your 9th house of legal matters, higher learning, philosophy of life, beliefs and expectations, long-distance travel, other cultures, politics, and religion. Thus, if there is something in this part of your life you need to deal with, this will be a helpful influence but of relatively short duration since Mercury moves quite quickly. The connection between Mercury, Pluto and Uranus suggests a sudden or unexpected course change with regard to an issue that relates to your home as the result of either a new attitude or perhaps other news or information that comes to light, perhaps simply through your own awareness or as a result of some transformation. If your birthday is between January 15 - 18 there is a triangle of potential between your natal Sun and the sextile connecting Venus and Mars. This could easily relate to a relationship issue which has been bothering you lately. This aspect pattern can provide useful energy in considering your attitude toward the situation and embracing a more benevolent philosophy toward it. The New Moon on September 27 occurs in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, and is also going to target those of you with birthdays around December 27. Libra is your 10th house of career, reputation, status and public image and while this aspect will be a square, the tension it invokes may not necessarily be unfortunately. Of course it may bring a crisis or challenge in this area but it may also give you the push you need to make a change in this area. There is no better time to set out on a new path than when you have a New Moon in a given house and even more so when it aspects your Natal Sun. This will be further energized by squaring Pluto, bringing transformation into the picture, and also Uranus in your aforementioned home environment. A jolt which may or may not be gentle is therefore likely which will involve your home and status. If you live in an area where severe weather is possible make sure your insurance is paid up as problems in that respect are possible as well as a plethora of others. Perhaps you'll receive your insurance bill and find to your dismay that the premium has tripled. You can bet there will be something, perhaps your mother-in-law deciding to move in with you or a boomerang child coming home once again to roost. Mars is in Leo, your 8th house of transformations, and quincunx Pluto which implies a change of direction and further strengthens the likelihood of a significant event. Mars in the 8th throws a major caution flag to not engage in any risky endeavors during this time since the chance of having an accident is increased. This lunation has so much energy concentrated in Cardinal Signs of which Capricorn is a member that it is highly likely that you'll encounter something you'll notice, so maintain a watchful eye. |
