Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon on October 11 is in Aries, your 8th House of sex, death and regeneration, intense experiences, shared resources, debt, and transformations. Clearly this is not exactly the "fun" house but is one that can bring life-changing situations and/or attitudes. If your birthday is within a day of September 12th this lunation will form a quincunx to your Natal Sun which will increase its influence. As always, this Full Moon will signify an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase for something in this part of your life. A note for those of you with birthdays around September 7 - 8, more specifically those with a Natal Sun at 14 - 15 degrees Virgo, you may notice some significant events or situations come your way this month as well as the Lunar Nodes are squaring your Sun. This happens approximately ever nine years and often brings something new into your life. In this case it's most likely to show up with regard to your home life in some way. Changes with regard to your career are possible as well. Back to the Full Moon, here are some of the other aspects in effect which may lend some clues with regard to what to expect or watch for. Saturn is conjunct the Sun at this time in your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions and things you value. While Saturn is generally a malefic planet as the "king of karma" which often manifests as hard lessons, when he's in Libra he's in the sign of his exaltation and thus quite a bit friendlier. While his influences toward responsibility, obligations, structure and boundaries are still in force, this is an excellent time to put them to work in a favorable way. This is a great time for financial planning, putting together a new budget, scheduling maintenance for your car or major home appliances, or perhaps taking on additional responsibilities which will bring additional income your way or just plain getting serious about how to do so. Your Sign Ruler, Mercury, is also in Libra, facilitating data gathering for such efforts and is trining Neptune who's in your 6th house of work and service which can bring inspiration as well. Venus is in Scorpio, your 3rd house of neighbors, siblings, thoughts, ideas and local travel which can have a beneficial effect on these parts of your life, especially for those of you whose birthday is within a day of August 27. She is tied in with Pluto and Uranus, which makes it even more interesting since Uranus is also in Aries, your 8th house of transformations and such. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, entertainment and hobbies. Pluto in their neighborhood will intensify this part of your life and if there is indeed a "fun" house, this is it. While Pluto isn't exactly about fun and games, he lends depth and understanding which can be quite useful and he may also be after you to get rid of something in this part of your life, such as anything that's really taking up too much of your time or perhaps taking up too much space in your garage or attic. So let's think about this for a moment in the context of what else is going on. Think back to that 2nd house of income and doing something to increase that part of your life and combine it with cleaning out your 5th house. For example, do you have some old collection, for example old baseball cards, which you might be able to sell for some extra cash? If you ever watch "Antique Roadshow" on PBS, you have seen people take stuff they picked up at a garage sale for a few bucks and then find out to their delight that its worth thousands. So, that is but one way you could put that combination of energies to work. Conversely, Pluto in that neighborhood may simply get you to go even deeper into one of your interests as opposed to eliminating something. Uranus brings his innovation to the party as well as the potential for a big surprise or, along with this lunation's theme, a transformation. Those of you with August 31 birthdays have Jupiter trining your natal Sun which will usually have a nice, expansive effect. Jupiter is in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 9th house of higher learning, other cultures, foreign travel, legal matters, religion and politics as well as your beliefs and expectations. Put this favorable energy to work in this area, which also relates to everything else mentioned so far. For example, if additional knowledge is required to pursue any other endeavors Jupiter's luck will help there as well. So even though the Full Moon doesn't occur in what is generally considered an overly friendly house, there are numerous good aspects out there which can bring good things your way. The New Moon occurs on October 26 in Scorpio, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and so forth as noted earlier. This is a very nice follow up to whatever the Full Moon was prodding you to do. Those with birthdays around August 27 especially should watch for an opportunity to pursue something in this part of their life. Mercury and Venus are conjunct in Scorpio which can be very useful for money-making or perhaps romantic ideas which will have the strongest effect on Virgos born right around September 14 - 15. Mercury and Venus are squaring Mars in Leo, your 12th house, however, which implies you may have a little trouble taking action for some reason or another. The 12th house comprises quite a variety of things and I often call it the "woo woo" house since it is where your angels and demons reside along with enlightenment, spirituality, and transcendence though self-undoing and hidden enemies are lurking there as well. Mars in this house could trigger any of those things, so be aware. For example if you come up with one of those million dollar ideas we all supposedly have from time to time, you might be careful who you share it with. With Mars sextile Saturn, you may not feel as if you can afford to pursue it, particularly if it's a gamble. More than likely whatever ideas or opportunity comes along is going to require some risk and effort on your part but this doesn't mean it won't be worth it. The New Moon is tied in with Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune as well as Pluto so these all come into play as well. There is some suggestion that you may be able to transform a hobby into a money-making venture and pursue an entirely new direction. If you were already planning to do something along these lines then this lunation definitely has you in mind. Take it as a message from the cosmos that what you're considering is well worth the effort to pursue, albeit carefully. Virgoes tend to be very practical so taking risks is not as easy for you as some of the other signs, but there are times you really need to remember the adage "nothing ventured, nothing gained." The 5th house is also the house of ego so maybe Pluto in that venue is about doing some work in that area as well, especially if you lack confidence as many Virgo types do because of your perfectionistic tendencies. Give it some thought and see what you come up with. |
