Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon on March 4th occurs in Pisces, your 3rd House of ideas, thoughts, neighbors, siblings, and travel to familiar places. If your birthday is right around December 6 you are more likely to encounter something new in this part of your life. Perhaps it will be as subtle as a new idea, a new neighbor moving in or more interaction with one an existing one or with your siblings, or simply running more errands than usual. Your Sign Ruler, Saturn, who's retrograde in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, is quincunx the New Moon, indicating that this idea, event or situation has something to do with the restructuring going on with regard to your career, status, public image or reputation. Perhaps a neighbor will provide a good idea for reworking your career or perhaps a sibling will encounter a problem that requires more of your time and thus less time spent on career. You may not entirely know what Saturn is up to for several months, but whatever this lunation brings is going to tie into it in some way, no matter how subtle. There are several planets in Pisces at this time including not only the Sun and Moon, which not only comprise the New Moon but also are obviously not planets, though for simplicity sake we call them that in astrology. These others include Mars, Mercury and Uranus, though the latter is but a sneeze away from Aries. Mars get somewhat waterlogged in Pisces, but can still lend some energy and action to any ideas that come your way. Uranus brings innovation and perhaps some surprises while Mercury is accidentally dignified in your 3rd house since he rules the 3rd zodiacally so will help facilitate your thought processes, which never hurts. Pluto, which is hanging out in your Sign for the long haul, is sextile Mars, implying an opportunity to take action on an idea provided your resolve something from your past or take control. Pluto is also squaring Jupiter in Aries, your 4th House of home environment, cultural roots and memories. One rather unpleasant possibility with this one is home issues with such things as plumbing or electrical lines. This past month I certainly gave more of my money than I would have liked to a plumber which I tend to blame on this aspect. Thus, if you are doing something like expanding your home via remodeling expect to encounter some previously hidden problems which need to be resolved. Another possibility is expanding your home in the sense of adding a family member which is going to create some power issues, whether it's a sibling, grown child or perhaps an aging parent. If there is already someone who meets this description in your household, then expect some sort of power struggle to surface during March. The Full Moon on March 19 is in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, foreign travel and relocation, which should bring a culmination or shift to a new phase of something in that part of your life. By this time Uranus and Mercury have joined Jupiter in Aries, giving them an entirely different energy profile than when they were in dreamy Pisces. Aries is impulsive and all about taking action which again relates to your home environment, memories or roots in some way or another. With Uranus present and opposing the Moon this action could be explosive, at least in a figurative sense, though it could also simply represent some innovative ideas or breaking free from something there that's holding you back, especially if it's on a philosophical level. Saturn RX is opposing Jupiter and Mercury, suggesting that news, ideas or activities at home will conflict in some way with whatever Saturn is up to with restructuring in your 10th house of career and status; something is going to get in the way and affect the outcome or perhaps simply give you an idea what it's all about. The Moon is quincunx Neptune in your 2nd House of income, finances, possessions, needs and pleasures which implies a change of direction with regard to your feelings toward something in this part of your life. Maybe you've been working too hard (likely) or not hard enough (not so likely) and need to reassess your situation. Money isn't everything and if you tend to be a workaholic you may finally determine that taking a break once in a while is a good thing. This is a favorable aspect for looking at your priorities, needs, and whether you need to balance things a bit better, which is what Saturn in Libra is likely to be all about. |
