The New Moon on January 4th is also a Solar Eclipse which gives it a lot of extra punch by bringing events or situations into your life that will have lasting significance. It occurs in fellow Cardinal Sign, Capricorn, your 4th House of home environment, memories and cultural roots, accompanied by Mars, Pluto and the Lunar North Node, giving it even more energy, especially for those of you born within a day or so of October 7th. Now is the time to take action on any family or home issues that require attention due to be buried or hidden. Something new is coming into your life or perhaps has recently which may also relate to anything that develops around the time of the eclipse. This eclipse is a member of the 13 North family of the Saros Series with a generic meaning for the entire series which relates primarily to group endeavors where a separation or bond needs to be broken before a major project can be completed. The meaning on the individual basis is similar. This specific eclipse, besides having all that additional energy in Capricorn, indicates some level of conflict with your own sense of authority as well as some money or personal value issues. Make sure you're seeing the situation clearly and above all else make sure you're not cutting off your nose to spite your face. Favorable connections with an unexpected event or disruption at work may bring you benefit as well.

Note that until January 26 that all the planets are currently moving forward, which will change on that date when Saturn goes retrograde. Thus, now is a favorable time to move forward and complete anything on your to-do list when all planets are expressing their energy directly as opposed to internalizing it. When Saturn goes retrograde he will stir up your subconscious with regard to something in your life that needs to be restructured. You probably won't even be aware of it, other than perhaps experiencing a heavy or gloomy feeling that you don't recognize. In June when Saturn goes direct you'll become aware of what it is and how it needs to be restructured. Saturn retrograde typically brings delays and obstacles, particularly of a bureaucratic nature. Accomplishing anything during that time is going to be an uphill battle.

The Full Moon on January 19th is in Cancer, you 10th House of career, public image, reputation and status and will bring an ending or culmination in that part of your life. Bear in mind that this also will start a new cycle of some sort. This lunation will have the most effect on those of you born within a day or so of October 23. You may be inclined to express yourself more forcefully than usual, particularly if your pride is involved. Consider any actions of this type carefully because they are likely to backfire and do more harm than good if you don't examine the entire situation in a logical way. Of course as an Air Sign, logic comes easily for you, so make sure you employ it consistently. Adjustments or a change of course are favored which will be beneficial, particularly if it relates to an old issue that needs to be resolved. This should be a month of surprises with regard to your work, service or pets, if they're a major part of your life. This is a favorable time to think about your work and career, whether they represent what you truly want to be doing, and considering alternatives if they don't. Expect to encounter some conflicts this month, but if you handle them in an open, honest and logical way, the results will be favorable.
