Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month is on February 2nd and occurs in Aquarius, your 6th House of work, health, and pets. If your birthday is within a day or so of September 6th expect a change of direction of some sort to come your way which will turn out to be quite beneficial. Accompanying the Sun/Moon team in that same sign are Mars, Neptune and Chiron, throwing a lot of energy into that part of your life. You can expect something new to come along that relates to your job, work, service activities or perhaps your health. Mars in tight conjunction with the Sun and Moon implies a lot of drive and assertion is available to get something started and off the ground. The main obstacle you may encounter is a delay, perhaps due to someone in authority dragging his or her feet which hails from the trio's trine to Saturn. While a trine is a favorable (usually) aspect, when malefics are involved (i.e. Mars and Saturn) sometimes it only means that their energy is blending well but not necessarily in your favor. However, if you harness this energy you should be able to make it work for you but bear in mind that while Saturn is retrograde you can typically expect delays. Depending on your situation, however, sometimes this is a good thing. Saturn is in Libra, your 2nd House of possessions, finances, needs, and pleasures, and represents authority figures, bureaucracies, the status quo, and structure generally. For example, if you're doing some work around the house, you may encounter problems getting the materials you need, or if you're waiting to hear about a raise or a job offer, that will probably take longer than expected. Saturn retrograde typically stirs something up in your subconscious related to the house it's transiting which needs to be restructured in some way. You probably won't even be aware of it, other than perhaps having a vague sense of discomfort. When he goes direct, which in this case will be mid-June, the issue will surface and by the time Saturn gets back to the degree where he went retrograde (right around September 19, 2011) you should have the matter settled. The New Moon may bring some challenges related to someone close to you, perhaps in the same household. Transformational changes are likely to result. Opportunities are out there that could relate to earning money from home, so put your imagination to work and keep your eyes and ears open. Creative ideas are very possible at this time including some definite innovation. This bright idea could come from someone else, so feel free to brainstorm with someone you trust but not anyone who might steal your idea. The Full Moon on February 18th is in Leo, your 12th House of spirituality, dreams, visions, institutions, hidden enemies, seclusion, isolation and self-undoing, a.k.a. the "woo woo" house that includes all sorts of weird stuff which is hard to describe. It also includes the collective consciousness which comprises the general feeling everyone carries around at any given time. For example, a lot of people are struggling these days with the economy, unemployment, inflation and so forth and there is a general feeling of gloom as a result. This lunation is opposing (besides the Sun, obviously for a Full Moon) Mercury, Mars, and Neptune which are all in Aquarius, your 6th house of work, health and pets as noted earlier. Thus, watch for a conflict of some sort between something in that part of your life with one of those 12th house elements. Be particularly careful that you're not undermining yourself in some way, perhaps through lack of confidence or some other self-defeating behavior. You also may be trying to pursue a dream and encounter a few roadblocks. This isn't a particularly favorable time for investments with Saturn in your 2nd house of finance squaring Venus in Capricorn, your 5th House of speculations. Pluto is in Capricorn as well, where he will be for a very long time. His function is to unearth anything that has been buried and needs to be cleared out to allow for healing. He's squaring Jupiter in Aries, your 8th House of transformations, sex, death and debt which implies reworking your approach to this part of your life, perhaps by getting on a definite plan to get out of debt which won't necessarily be easy but will serve you well eventually. You may also encounter a disruption or some unexpected situation with someone close to you which necessitates a change of direction, particularly if your birthday is right around September 22. Bear in mind that a Full Moon typically brings a culmination or ending, though this of course also implies a new beginning. A Full Moon in your 12th house can also bring a dream or vision to a conclusion either by fulfilling it or you deciding to let it go. Use your Earth Sign practicality to understand and learn, then move on as required. |
