Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon on February 2nd occurs in Aquarius, your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, networking, goals, hopes and wishes. With your sign ruler, Mars, in tight conjunction with the Sun and Moon, this should provide a strong thrust of energy and activity in this part of your life. This trio is trining Saturn, just turned retrograde in late January in Libra, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships. While a trine is usually a favorable aspect, this may be disguised a bit as being beneficial when you're dealing with a malefic planet like Saturn. Saturn is all about structure, restraint and the status quo which is obviously antithetical to Aries. While retrograde, Saturn at the least institutes delays which can cause everyone frustration, but none more so than Rams. On a personal level, Saturn retrograde typically is poking around in your subconscious, stirring up something in that particular house that needs to be restructured, which in this case will be one or more close relationship. You may not even realize this is in progress other than a feeling of restlessness or that you're missing or forgetting something. When Saturn goes direct in mid-June, whatever it is will surface and by the end of September you should have the issue resolved; if you don't, some other transit will take you back there some time in the future, perhaps in a less friendly way. Saturn tends to operate like a stern but caring mentor where as some of the others are quite a bit less subtle. So I'm sure you're wondering what the Sun, Moon, Mars trio's relationship is with Saturn. The short answer looks like moving forward with one of your goals or some group activity will only move forward when you have rearranged one of your close relationships such that it supports your efforts. If someone is in your way, either by not agreeing with your goals or because you owe them something in the way of responsibility, that situation will need to be resolved and rebuilt as required. However, the implications are that once this is taken care of the resolution will further assist you in getting where you want to go. The lunation also features a few other aspects worth mentioning which may give you a few more clues with regard to what this one will mean in your life. Venus is squaring Jupiter, resident in your sign, and particularly relevant to those of you with birthday right around March 23rd. Jupiter in this position will encourage personal expansion and a square with Venus in Sagittarius, your 9th house of legal matters, higher learning, other cultures, religion, politics, your philosophy of life including your beliefs and expectations, will throw a few challenges your way from this part of your life. For example, you may realize that progressing will require going back to school, which requires money that may be in short supply. Or perhaps a stint abroad would suit your sense of adventure, but there is something making that difficult to pursue. Venus and Jupiter are both considered benefic planets but when they're in a hard aspect like a square they can also set you up for something like over-confidence, which can get you in all sorts of trouble as you've probably discovered from time to time. So, whatever is going on in your life that fits this scenario deserves some careful thought. Venus is also squaring Uranus, still in Pisces, your 12th house of angels and demons, a.k.a. the "woo-woo" house of spirituality, dreams, visions, institutions, transcendence, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Uranus is the planet of surprises, unexpected events, explosions, innovation, rebellion, breaking free and so forth, all of which may be near and dear to any Ram's adventurous heart. If you feel inclined to break away from something in this part of your life or make significant changes, something in your 9th house may be holding that back as well. And then there's Pluto, comfortably established in Capricorn, your 10th house of status, reputation, public image and career. Pluto, the zodiacal roto-rooter, will be in this part of your life for many years to come. His mission in this domain will be to uproot and clean out anything in this part of your life that has been buried, neglected or purposely ignored. This is the planet of transformations who will completely renovate this part of your life. He is currently squared off with Jupiter, which represents your efforts as personal expansion, suggesting that you have something related to your status or career that needs to be rectified before moving forward. On the positive side, there are some definite opportunities out there. News, thoughts or information relative to your career or status courtesy of Mercury will feed Uranus in your woo-woo house in such as way as to create an opportunity. This could easily manifest as a new and exciting idea with regard to your career direction or status that will also bring you more satisfaction and fulfillment that your current situation, whatever that might be. Venus and Neptune are cheering you on as well with an aspect that looks like it will bring you some inspiration and knowledge as a package which will also represent an opportunity. Thus, this lunation is packed with challenges and opportunities. For those of you born right around April 4th this will be particularly noticeable. The Full Moon on February 18 in in fellow Fire Sign, Leo, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, most likely in the part of your life represented by the house in which it occurs. Opposing the Moon are not only the Sun but Mercury, Mars and Neptune in Aquarius, that 11th House of friends, goals, organizations and so forth. This could indicate that moving forward with some inspired idea is going to clash with your ego in some way or perhaps create a problem with your children or other 5th house matter such as a romantic interest. Uranus is still in your woo-woo house and implying an adjustment or change of course will be required to move forward. Pluto is still squaring Jupiter, a challenge that will be especially noticeable for those of your born right around March 27th, and Venus and Saturn are squaring each other as well. That relationship issue Saturn is working on is affecting your status in some way you need to address; granted, you may not know exactly what it is, but it's certainly worth thinking about. |
