Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon on December 10, which is also a Lunar Eclipse, is in Gemini, your 10th house of career, reputation, status, and public image. Lunar eclipses tend to affect you more on the emotional level while solar eclipses, such as the one last month, are more likely to trigger events and situations. Considering that any Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse involves the Sun and Moon in opposition naturally implies that your head and heart may be a bit out of sorts with one another. The Sun is in fellow mutable sign, Sagittarius, your 4th house of home environment, memories and endings. Conflicts between your home and career are certainly nothing unusual though there are other manifestations as well. For example, if you are the black sheep of your family you may find that your own family gives you a bad rap as far as your reputation is concerned. About all you can do then is make it your mission in life to prove them wrong. This may also be a time when you see the completion or shift of phase with regard to a project or perhaps even your career. It may be an ending, but not necessarily so. After all, there are some things in life which we do a happy dance when they're over, so this is not always a bad thing. Mars is in your sign and conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is right around September 6. Mars energy is great motivation but for Virgo this can also make you even more impatient when things go wrong. Admit it, you're a perfectionist at heart and when things don't work right, people don't fulfill their responsibilities, or you simply feel as if you're surrounded by idiots it's downright annoying. Mars in your sign will exacerbate this considerably. Your best bet is to use that energy to move forward with your own agenda and do your best to ignore everyone else. Your sign ruler, Mercury is retrograde, which certainly doesn't help matters. Most Virgos are very aware when this is happening even without being told that is the case by an astrologer. I can't tell you how many times I've had a Virgo ask me if Mercury was retrograde and, indeed, it was. Life is already difficult and annoying enough and when it gets an order of magnitude worse it's hard to miss. Remember that this internalize energy is excellent for picking something apart such that you can find all its flaws. You already are an expert at this but now that talent will be on steroids. Since you hate it when YOU make a mistake, if there is anything you're working on currently now is an excellent time to review it for mistakes or areas you can improve. If your birthday is right around August 28 it is more likely that something is going to bite you in this regard, either with your work or perhaps it will take the form of things breaking down at home, which is always fun. On the positive side, repairs and maintenance are excellent activities as well. Also on the positive side, with Venus in your 5th house this is a favorable time to enjoy a hobby or pursue your favorite form of entertainment. Beginning a new project may not go as smoothly as you'd like because of Mercury being retrograde, but finishing an existing one would. If it's something you can share with the public it could work out nicely or could even bring about a change of direction with your career if it has profit potential. Saturn and Jupiter are opposing each other which may be causing a few issues as well. Saturn has been in your 2nd house of possessions and income for a while which is not always an easy placement. However, Saturn is exalted in Libra so fortunately this puts a more positive spin on his energy which can be rather oppressive in other signs. As an Earth Sign, Virgos tend to be reasonably careful with their money with your budget also benefiting from your organizational skills, so you may not have even noticed Saturn's presence. If you don't need the lesson behind a planetary transit you will often be oblivious to it through cosmic immunity, if you will. If you have some other characteristic which makes you a spendthrift, then this would be more noticeable. Jupiter is retrograde in your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, legal matters, long-distance travel and relocation. The combination with Saturn will therefore bring about some introspection with regard to your possessions and so forth and what place money holds on your priority list. If you are working as hard as Virgos usually do it doesn't hurt every now and then to reassess whether you're neglecting some other area of your life due to all your efforts to earn a living. The New Moon on December 24 is in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your aforementioned 5th house. Watch for something new to come your way in this part of your life whether it's related to your hobbies, children, romance, entertainment or speculation. This will have the strongest effect on those of you born right around August 26. If, per chance, the suggestion above regarding turning a hobby into a money-making endeavor was on target this New Moon reinforces that as well. Or perhaps you'll simply realize you need to enjoy yourself a bit more and cut back on your work hours. Rearranging your priorities is still favored if you haven't figured that out yet. If you haven't, some unexpected event may bring it to your attention. Venus has moved into your 6th house of work which should have a positive effect. Again, considerations regarding how you can work smarter instead of harder are supported, whether it involves your current occupation or shifting toward something new. If your birthday is right around September 7 your natal Sun is forming a T-square with the lunar nodes. This can be a significant time of change with regard to your home and family and its balance with your career, status or public image. So you can see how all of this ties together with a general theme of balancing your work, family and recreational time in the healthiest manner. |
