Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon on December 10 is also a lunar eclipse and occurs in Gemini, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. Remember that the effects of an eclipse can show up before it actually happens and also linger for months and sometimes even years as it leaves an energy point out there which can be triggered by transits. If your birthday is right around January 9th you are most likely to notice these effects which are most likely to show up as a shift of direction or change of some description. The eclipse Sun and Moon form a T-square with Mars in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, which comprises your 9th house of higher learning, teaching, beliefs and expectations, religion, politics, philosophy of life and legal matters. Mars transiting this part of your life bring a lot of energy and sense of direction, though this may bring a few challenges as well. It may be time to close shop on something you've been doing in favor of going off in a new direction, but the price, either literally or figuratively, may be a bit steep, thus necessitating a lot of soul searching. Venus, however, is in your sign, which is always good for presenting yourself in a favorable light, especially as she conjoins your natal Sun. For this lunation, that is in effect if your birthday is right around January 8. She is also in a position to intervene and help with whatever 9th house matter is at issue. One possibility is that your personal charm will effect a change with someone at work which makes taking action feasible or less difficult. Recognize that during this time your luck is improved and you may see results you didn't expect. This doesn't mean to run out and spend your entire paycheck on lotto tickets, which I don't think any respectable Cappy would do anyway. It simply means that you will be viewed in a positive way such that others will listen with a more sympathetic ear. Mercury is retrograde in Sagittarius, your 12th house of angels and demons which comprises spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, transcendence, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Mercury RX gets a lot of bad press for its effect on electronic and mechanical devices and buying something that fits that description during that time is usually not a good idea. However, being in Sagittarius and your 12th house, this is a favorable time for you to ponder matters in this part of your life. Reviewing, redefining, reconsidering, re-planning and so forth are all favored. This is an excellent time to do something to feed your soul and determine what you need to do to maintain a healthy diet in that part of your life. An unexpected or sudden event which affects your home environment or triggers an old memory may be what needs to be reviewed. Your sign ruler, Saturn, is still in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, sign of his exaltation and your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. If your birthday is right around January 17, however, this could be bringing a challenge your way which relates to both home and work. At the least you have probably been working quite hard in this part of your life lately, even though you may be enjoying it since Cappies tend to love to work. Retrograde Jupiter in Taurus is opposing Saturn, however, from your 5th house of children, romance, ego definition, creativity, entertainment and speculation. Jupiter RX tends toward philosophizing, particularly with regard to ethics issues which in turn will relate to something in the 5th house. However, this may be opposed to your career in some manner, perhaps simply by directing time and energy away from it. Perhaps you want to use your creativity more and are trying to figure out how to do so. The good news is that this opposition is being mitigated by Neptune who is in favorable aspect to both Jupiter and Saturn and forming an aspect pattern known as a triangle of potential. Neptune is in Aquarius, your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs and pleasures, bringing his inspiration and insights to that part of your life. If money and/or security have been a driver, which wouldn't be surprising for a Cappy, maybe you need to rearrange your priorities. For example, if you've been working your butt off because you think you need the money but neglecting either your children, romantic interest or own creative needs because of it, maybe it's time to shuffle things around a bit. Pluto is still in Capricorn as he will be for several years to come. He is currently on your natal Sun if your birthday is within a day one way or the other of December 29. I can extend my sympathies having just gotten through such a transit myself. One astrologer has noted that while Pluto transits can be quite grueling it is rare for you to die at that time; you may want to or feel as if you are, but that is only Pluto's dark energy dredging something from inside you which you need to deal with. Exactly what will depend on which natal house your Sun is in. If you're really having trouble with something like that you may want to consider getting a transit reading to see what the Universe is trying to tell you if you haven't yet figured it out. The New Moon on Christmas Eve is in Capricorn and right on your natal Sun if your birthday is within a day or so of Christmas. If it is, then it's highly likely this New Moon will be with you all year as part of your solar return. That triangle of potential described above is still in effect except slightly after this lunation Jupiter will go direct and perhaps allow some of that creative energy to break loose. The lunation Sun/Moon trine Jupiter, infusing him with additional energy. The lunation is also squaring Uranus, however, which points toward another surprise with regard to your homelife, past or present, or perhaps precipitating an ending of some sort. Venus has moved on to Aquarius, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs and pleasures which is generally good for those things but the square with Jupiter could bring a challenge of some sort. Given that both planets are benefic, however, the squares they form are typically less onerous than say, a square between Mars and Pluto. About the worst that comes from Venus and Jupiter may be over-confidence. Given that Jupiter is in your 5th house and a sneeze away from going direct, maybe some major philosophical insight with regard to your kids, creativity, romantic life, or speculations will offer an income opportunity which is going to require a lot more work than you think you have time for. Or, possibly an opportunity in that area comes along and you're short on the cash you need to pursue it. If so, that is where Neptune comes in to inspire you with a way to make it happen. |
