Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on April 3rd is in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 9th house of higher learning, other cultures, legal matters, religion, politics, travel to unfamiliar places, relocation, beliefs and expectations as well as your philosophy of life in general. If your birthday is within a day or so of August 6 this lunation will be even more significant because it trines your natal Sun, which is a favorable aspect. This should bring something new into this part of your life. In fact, this part of your life should be extremely lively this month given the plethora of planets currently hanging out in Aries. Not only are the Sun and Moon there but Mars, Uranus, Jupiter and Mercury, so that's a whole bunch of energy, to say the least. Saturn, however, is putting the brakes on things a bit, though that may not necessarily be a bad thing. Saturn is retrograde in Libra, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and travel to familiar places. While doing the backstroke Saturn pokes around in your subconscious and stirs up something in that part of your life that needs to be structured. In this case it could be something related to your thought processes, how much time you spend driving around shopping, or even how you relate to your neighbors or siblings. The fact that Saturn is opposing the New Moon implies that there are limitations that could affect this new thing's entrance into your life. Maybe the issue Saturn is working on needs to be resolves before you can move forward; whatever it is may be holding you back. The key here is to put yourself in the driver's seat and take control of the situation. Otherwise it could get out of control and definitely cause problems. Neither the New Moon or Saturn are in an unfavorable aspect to Leo, so this could also be something that has more of an effect on others with the caveat that you need to be a participant in the situation, whatever it happens to be. Since there are so many planets in Aries several Leos will have one of them trining their natal Sun, each having a slightly different affect. Those of you born right around July 25 may be taking a sudden trip to someplace new or perhaps break away from something whether it's a belief or perhaps even a legal matter. If your birthday is right around August 8 it's an excellent time to engage in learning something new or expanding your horizons in some other way. Those of you born around August 17 have retrograde Mercury trining your natal Sun which will give a positive experience with rethinking something, revising your plans, reconsidering a position or something else which will probably be associated with the 9th house as defined above. Venus is in your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, debt and shared resources. Since Venus is the natural ruler of both money and love relationships, these are the most likely areas where this could surface. For those of you born August 1st, give or take a day, expect to make a course change or adjustment in this area which has a deep and lasting effect. If you have an old issue from the past, particularly if it's related to work or even your health, this could offer an opportunity to work with that, also. The Full Moon on April 17 is in Libra, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and travel to familiar places. A Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase or cycle. If your birthday is within a day or so of August 21 the effects will be strongest. Inspiration or insights may come your way which bring increased understanding and make any course changes easier to navigate. The planetary lineup in Aries has shifted a bit, placing different planets across from Saturn. Mars is one of them, indicating moving forward with anything related to your 9th house, such as an extended trip, a relocation or going back to school, is going to be delayed. Mercury is in there as well and still retrograde himself, again bringing out the theme of rethinking, redoing, revising or reconsidering. Expanding your life in this area is simply delayed or fraught with obstacles right now, so your best bet is to think it through again, take care of any unfinished business, and then trust the Universe to set the timing.
