Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the New Moon is on September 8 in Virgo, your 12th House of dreams, visions, enlightenment, charity, institutions, seclusion, transcendence, self-undoing and hidden enemies. Clearly this house contains quite the variety of elements including what could be summarized as your angels and demons, inside and without. With Mercury retrograde in that same house this makes it a favorable time to rethink and reconsider one or more parts of your life that relate to this house. This is the house of spirituality, separate from the house that comprises religion which is the 9th. Much of this is the essence of who you are, where your dreams germinate and evolve until they become integrated into your thoughts and actions. Mike Dooley, author of the best selling "Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams" (and I recommend highly, by the way), has a great motto that relates to this, i.e. "Thoughts become things: choose the good ones." And of course this goes back to your dreams and visions. What you visualize and believe will eventually be manifested. So what I'm getting at is to take this time to review this part of your life and make any necessary changes. The lunation contains the same Cardinal T-Square described last month. Saturn is in one corner which is also in your Sign so if your birthday is within a day one way or the other from September 28 that bad boy is parked on your natal Sun. Saturn and Pluto transits both have well-deserved sordid reputations so if life is kicking your butt right now, this is one of the root causes. Since Saturn is squaring Pluto, that energy is brought in as well and extends that birthday range back a few days for its effectivity. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 4th House of home environment, which implies major renovations of a mental, physical and emotional nature. You may find that things are breaking down faster than you can keep up with them. Any hidden flaw within your home is going to be exposed. With Mercury tied into Pluto it's clearly also a favorable time for routine maintenance whether it involves mechanical or structural systems or relationships with those you life with. Jupiter is in that T-Square also and he's in Aries, your polar sign, and house of relationships. Jupiter is the only benefic planet involved but he's retrograde. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but rather than the usual lucky, expansive effects, his energy turns inward, becomes more philosophical, and may expose issues of an ethical nature. My first thought on this, particularly since I have Pluto on my natal Sun, is to watch out when it comes to hiring any contractors or workers. Even if you have it in writing you may not get what you're expecting. Wherever possible work through those you know personally or are recommended by someone who can vouch for them. With the lunation itself in your house of hidden enemies this is even more apropos. Don't be too trusting or it may bite you. Your sign ruler, Venus, is conjunct Mars in your sign. This provides quite a bit of energy in the relationship area and is also favorable for your energy level and ability to present yourself in a very favorable manner. However, it's connection with deceptive Neptune in your 5th House deserves watching as well. This could be very useful for your creative endeavors where imagination can be put to good use, but not so good when it comes to speculations. Neptune can make things disappear, so beware of pie in the sky promises. This is the house of romance as well so this has many romantic implications, but again don't mistake fantasies for reality, particularly if they're a bit too idealistic. Enjoy any positive effects but keep your Air Sign logic engaged as well. The Full Moon on September 23 is in your polar sign, Aries, your house of relationships. A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase. If this happens to be your birthday, it will not only affect you this month but for the entire year as it will be part of your solar return, meaning you can expect to have significant emphasis on your relationships in the year to come. This lunation also accentuates the T-Square since it occurs right across the base, so this implies some action with that as well. By this time Mercury is direct, implying its time to move forward with any new plans you formulated during its retrograde period. Mars and Venus are still loosely conjunct in Scorpio, your 2nd House of income, finances, possessions, needs and pleasures. This will heat of any romantic encounters and may bode well for your finances provided you're the one on the offensive; Mars in that house can also imply attacks on your bank account, so avoid any unnecessary expenditures unless you have a whole bunch to spare. Short-term and Daily Aspects September 3: Watch for a flash of insight or something that grabs your attention at a deep level. It is inspiration you should pay attention to. September 4: An outstanding day for creative inspiration. Romantic fantasies are also possible. Enjoy them while recognizing you're bypassing reality. September 5: If anyone is trying to undermine you it will become apparent. Be cautious moving forward on anything unless you're certain you're basing it on fact. Make sure you're seeing it for what it is as confusion is very possible. September 7: Expect the unexpected, particularly in the workplace. A change of course is likely to result. September 8: New Moon today as described above. That change of course and the reasons for it will become more apparent. September 9: Another favorable day for your creative imagination but beware of situations where deception could exist. Your Sign Ruler, Venus goes into Scorpio bringing her blessings to your income and finances. Hopefully, anyway. September 10: Jupiter backs into Pisces due to retrograde motion which is likely to expose something at work with ethical implications. September 11: Mercury goes direct, bringing more clarity and direction to your dreams and visions. September 12: You can derive great personal satisfaction from going on a cleaning frenzy today where you discard those things which are no longer useful. September 13: If those surprises at work upended you in some manner, now you will discover a clearer sense of the action you should take. September 14: Pluto goes direct, allowing you to move forward more effectively with cleaning out your house, literally and figuratively. September 15: Mars enters Scorpio, sign of his ancient rulership and delivering his energy to your finances, income, possessions and things you value. Harness it by taking care of business in this part of your life. September 18: Expect the unexpected yet again in the workplace. And whatever it is, it's not over yet. Another favorable day for a cleaning frenzy. September 19: Another excellent day for creative endeavors. Find some time for meditation, relaxing, and enjoying yourself which will be very beneficial. September 21: You will have numerous insights into that work situation which you can use to your advantage. September 23: Full Moon today in Aries as described above as the Sun moves into your Sign. September 25: Further illumination with regard to home renewal will come today as you have a clear picture of what you want. September 30: The work situation will have financial implications or improve it in some other manner if you stick with honest principles. Your sense of responsibility will be highlighted. |
