Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month is in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, foreign travel, relocation, politics and religion. Thus you can expect something new to come your way that relates to one of those areas, especially if your birthday is within a day or so of December 8 in which case the lunation will trine your natal Sun. With a trine a soft or usually favorable aspect, whatever its affect may be should be positive. Really? you may ask, in view of the fact that the ongoing Cardinal T-square is still in effect, particularly for those who have been experiencing a Pluto transit to their natal Sun for a couple years now, thanks to Pluto's glacial speeds exacerbated by retrograde periods. Pluto transits as well as transits from your sign ruler, Saturn, are both typically the culprits when I receive client queries regarding why everything in their life is going wrong. So isn't that a cheery thought that some of us, yours truly included, are dealing with a Saturn square and a Pluto transit while crazy Whobeda states that this should be a favorable lunation. Yeah, right. Wishful thinking on my part, I'm sure. Not to rehash past astrocasts ad nauseam but the Readers Digest version on that T-square will involve limitations and perhaps new responsibilities that affect your status, personal transformations including a new sense of your personal power, and a few new thoughts or ideas which could include surprises related to your neighbors or siblings. A few home issues are likely to be thrown in as well, all of which are pulling against one another in some way or another. Are we having fun yet? Of course by now you're thinking "Tell me something I don't already know" since this was essentially the same dominant aspect pattern for last month's lunations as well. So there's not much I can tell you about them that you don't already know. On the positive side, there are a few mitigating features this month. In spite of Saturn's drag on your status, public image or reputation, there are a few positive things going on as Venus and Mars get together in that same house. Promoting yourself can go well, you'll have plenty of energy to pursue such things and since Saturn is your Sign Ruler which can bring more responsibility, which you thrive on, this has implications for advancing your career interests or some other aspect of your status. You may discover something unexpectedly that brings a change of course in that part of your life as well, perhaps related to a new vision or dream you come up with regard to your financial future. Mercury is retrograde for the New Moon, which is a favorable time to rethink and reconsider something that relates to your beliefs in some way, especially with him trining Pluto which may help you get to the root of some major hang-up or stumbling block you've created for yourself. So there are a few good things out there, even if you have to look for them a bit. The Full Moon on September 23 isn't quite as jolly. That T-square looks as if it's made of rubber bands which someone has "twanged" as the Sun/Moon opposition gets right in the thick of that Cardinal T-square. The good news is that a Full Moon typically brings an ending or shift to a new phase, so you can always hope that whatever that T-square has brought your way will find its way to a graceful close. Venus and Mars are still traveling together, at this time in passionate Scorpio, your 11th House of friends, organization and goals. Besides having interesting implications for your love life, this pair can also represent money and motivation, so get out there and do some networking as the results could be quite favorable. Short Term Aspects September 3: An excellent day for lively conversations, even about verboten topics such as politics and religion. The possibility for learning something new or seeing things slightly differently than before are high. September 4: There's a chance that something related to your finances could come your way in a favorable manner, but make sure it's tangible or at least in writing before you bet the farm. September 5: Moving forward with your career or status may encounter a wall today which relates to your beliefs or perhaps a relocation, legal or academic matter. This is more fuel for those Mercury retrograde ruminations. Look for resolution after the 11th. September 7: Think outside the box, be innovative and original to find a new path to where you want to go. September 8: New Moon in Virgo as described above. Expand upon your thoughts from the other day for further direction on which way to turn. September 9: Going after a financial goal is on your mind but make sure it's not pie in the sky. This is not to say it isn't possible, only that you need to harness all that Earth Sign practicality to get there on solid ground, not pipe dreams. Venus goes into Scorpio today, bringing her blessings to your goals, interactions with friends and groups, and organizational ties. Put it to work and do some networking. September 10: Jupiter backs into Pisces, conjuring up thoughts of ethics situations of one kind or another. September 11: Mercury stations direct, allowing you to move forward in the days to come on any ideas you've been reworking the past few weeks. Give it a few days and it will even be safe again to buy electronics or something mechanical. September 12: Someone or something from your past, perhaps all the way back to childhood, may be able to lend some assistance or good ideas. How well do your childhood dreams match up with your present? September 13: Expect to make another course change as those innovative ideas you came up with a while back take an unexpected turn. September 14: Pluto stations direct, meaning he's finally going to start moving forward and in the right direction for getting off of the natal Sun for some Cappies. By the end of the year he'll be afflicting some other poor Cappy with a birthday after Christmas. Works for me. September 15: Mars goes into Scorpio, bringing his energy and drive to your goals. Keep an eye out for opportunities, especially related to those networking activities. September 18: Find time to explore your ideas and interact with your siblings or neighbors today, then watch for something unexpected to occur that involves an opportunity. If there's something that's been holding you back, a breakthrough is likely. September 19: Consider the things you value the most and whether they're in-line with your core beliefs. One or the other may need to change. September 21: If you didn't figure it out yesterday, you're very likely to today. Be prepared for a flash of understanding that takes you by surprise. September 23: The Sun enters Libra just in time for the Full Moon in Aries as described above. September 25: Who you are, where you are and where you're going will be things to ponder today along with whether or not you're happy with what you determine. September 30: A friend, probably a female one, may provide some excellent ideas to expand your goals. It's all a matter of whether you want to take on that much responsibility, a moot point for a Cappy. |
