Lunations and Long-Term Aspects

This month's New Moon on the 11th is also a Solar Eclipse which occurs in your own sign.  If your birthday is within a day or so of July 12th it will be a direct hit on your Natal Sun.  Mars is at the same degree over in Virgo, your 3rd House of ideas, thoughts, siblings and neighbors, which should provide an opportunity, perhaps in the form of some serious motivation, to move forward with something that relates to that part of your life.  If you have an idea you've been trying to hatch for a while, this may be the boost you need to do something with it.  It's also your Solar Return time which will start a new life cycle for you.

A Solar Eclipse typically brings events whereas a Lunar Eclipse is more internal.  Sometimes they match up in one way or another and others they don't.  If they hit a planet or angle of your Natal Chart it's highly likely that it will bring something significant into your life.  This one, like the Lunar version last month, is in the 12 South family of the Saros Series, which has the general theme that something you've been struggling with for quite a while will initially appear to get worse and then it will clear.  This is certainly an encouraging note, particularly when it seems to get worse.  Knowing that something will be resolved is certainly good news when relief does not appear to be in sight.

The eclipse carries a T-Square that comprises Saturn in opposition with both Jupiter and Uranus with Pluto at the apex.  A T-Square usually brings a challenge or crisis of some sort and with all of these participating superior planets, in other words in orbits beyond that of the Earth, the aspect will last for a fairly long time.  Saturn is in Virgo, your 3rd House, and about to go into your 4th of home environment.  Saturn is still in its "shadow period" since coming out of retrograde in the end of May, which means it hasn't yet overtaken the degree where it went retrograde last winter.  Thus, this is a time when you'll be restructuring and rebuilding something that came to your attention in the last month or so which will probably relate to your 3rd and 4th Houses.  So that is what Saturn is up to, but that opposition to Jupiter and Uranus is probably throwing a few speedbumps in your path.  Those two, which will be conjunct for most the year, are in Aries, your 10th House of career, reputation, public image and status.

While they could bring a sudden windfall, it could also be a major disruption or change which is interfering with any progress with Saturn's agenda.  Remember that "status" relates to anything that contains a label or title, is in the public record or may appear in a newspaper or publication.  For example, it includes getting married or divorced; promoted or fired; becoming a parent or having your last child leave home; graduating from school or college; getting a driver's or business license; buying or selling land, etc.  Thus, if you've been thinking about some restructuring related to home, disruptions that relate to your status could be getting in the way.  Jupiter and Uranus are aspecting numerous other planets so their influence, likely to be perceived as a lack of predictability and stability, will be permeating various parts of your life.  With them located in your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, legal matters, academia, religion, politics, relocation, and other cultures, these issues are likely to be visible as well.

Pluto is in Capricorn, your polar sign and 7th House of relationships.  Since he's at the apex of the T-Square, more than likely someone is influencing this situation in one way or another.  Pluto is about resolving old issues that have been buried or ignored, so this may not be direct interference from an individual but could also be some hang-up you have based on some past problem with someone.  Give some thought to anything that may be holding you back, even in a figurative sense, then take the needed steps to resolve it so you can move forward.

Venus is very active in this eclipse and is also in Virgo along with Mars and Saturn, providing a wide variety of energy to your 3rd House of thoughts, siblings, neighbors and such.  This house also includes familiar journeys and with it summer, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, could relate to anything from simple daily errands to a weekend getaway to a favorite locale.  Venus' opposition to Neptune warns against being too idealistic or delusional.  While using your imagination and daydreaming can be relaxing or even inspiring, sometimes it can set you up for disappointment.  Keep your expectations realistic.  A few adjustments to your plans are likely to arise, especially if you're trying to keep too many people happy.  Remember you can't please all the people all the time.  Venus shows promise in helping you resolve that old issue Pluto is nagging you about, perhaps by providing increased understanding.  However, her placement isn't particularly good since Virgo can be a bit picky and critical.  Conversely, you can use this take a look at your own actions and see how they contributed to any issues and move closer to resolution.

Mercury is in your 2nd House of finances, possessions, needs and pleasures and nudging you toward an adjustment in that area based on past lessons as well.  Positive changes in this area can result from those abrupt career or status issues, even if they present challenges elsewhere.

The Full Moon on July 25 is in Aquarius, your 8th House of death and regeneration, sex, transformations, debt and other people's resources, implying a culmination to something in your life that will change you on a deep and lasting level.  If you've been struggling with finances, this could mean a change, possibly one that comes out of the blue and changes your status in one way or another.  The T-Square described for the New Moon/Eclipse is still in effect, its meaning the same other than for the minor tweak from Saturn now being in Libra, bringing that restructuring energy to your home environment.  Be wary of news or information relating to your finances as it may only be a delusion that could bite you if you mistake it for reality.  Continue to examine your past for ways to improve your long-term financial picture, particularly if you're prone to emotionally-based spending.  Breaking old habits isn't easy, but trust in the benefits and commit to whatever is necessary to find greater stability.
