Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month's New Moon in Cancer, your 11th House of friends, goals, group interactions, and organizations is also a Solar Eclipse, giving it additional power which can linger for months. If your birthday is within a day or so of September 12 the eclipse will sextile your Sun which will have additional influence. This is likely to show up as an opportunity coming your way from someone who resides in your 11th House. This is an excellent time to do some networking as it has a high probability of bringing something your way. The eclipse is in partile, or of the same degree, sextile with Mars as well, which is conjunct the Natal Sun of those of you born around the 12th. This is going to provide you with a nice, burst of energy which you can put to use in this regard. Virgos tend to be very independent since they usually figure that no one else can do it as well as they can, much less correctly, but if you have something you're trying to accomplish that requires the assistance of others, this is a very favorable time to get to it. The main thing you'll need to keep an eye on, however, is that Mars, which could influence you to be either a bit aggressive or appear to be, which could work in either a positive or negative manner. In other words, your drive could be contagious or conversely they might tell you to pack sand. Fortunately, Venus is in Virgo at this time as well, which will help you turn on the Virgo charm. This will be strongest for those of you born within a day or so of August 25. Saturn is in Virgo for this eclipse, though he will move into Libra on July 22. He just came out of retrograde the end of May and is now carefully retracing his steps. If you were born between September 20 - 28 (which obviously includes some Libras) your Natal Sun is getting a triple whammy from this but the good news is that this is the final pass. Thus, now is the time to restructure something that has recently come to your attention that relates to you personally. The shadow period will last until early September, during which time you should get a grip on things and complete the work. This could easily all tie in with that networking if what you've discovered can benefit from a little help from your friends. Saturn transits can be quite grueling so if the past several months have been less than enchanting for those of you in the birthday window mentioned above, this would be a likely cause. Saturn is interacting with some other planets for the eclipse which will further color his energy, which typically not only entails rebuilding something but gaining a hard lesson in the process. He's about wisdom, maturity, responsibility, meeting your obligations, and maintaining a strong foundation. No matter how perfect you may think you are Saturn will find something for you to work on. Since perfection is your ultimate goal, you can at least try to look upon him as your friend in the long run as you learn and grow in the process, unpleasant though it may be. Saturn is in a T-square with Pluto as well as Jupiter and Uranus, who are conjunct in Aries. This implies a tug-o-war between Saturn's work and something else that is wanting you to break free or rebel. Other possibilities include an event or experience that comes along out of the blue and affects your ability or desire to go in the direction Saturn is pointing. Enter Pluto, at the apex in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 5th House of children, romance, creativity, entertainment, ego and speculation, who is mediating this dialog with some unfinished business or unresolved issue that relates to that 5th House. These three forces will be duking it out after which you will be able to move forward with a keener sense of direction, which may be different than the one you original see. Saturn is also quincunx Neptune in your 6th House of work, health and service, implying a change of direction or other adjustment in that part of you life is a factor as well. Your Sign Ruler, Mercury, is fairly active as well. He's in Leo, your 12th House of enlightenment, dreams, inspiration, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing, which will facilitate ideas and communication with this hidden part of yourself. Your angels and demons reside in these parts so expect some dialogs with them as well. Mercury is quincunx Pluto, an aspect that means an adjustment, change of course, need to justify your position or a Catch-22. This is highly likely to be that same issue from your past alluded to in the preceding paragraph on the T-Square. This is a good thing because Mercury will help you to see additional levels of the situation. Mercury is trining the Jupiter/Uranus pair as well, helping you to see the entire situation more clearly and in a way that will bring deeper meaning to your life. Venus is active as well who as noted earlier is in the early degrees of Virgo. She enters your sign on the day of the eclipse, i.e. July 11, and will be there until the first week in August, so put her to good use. She is trining Pluto so will assist you with resolving that old issue Pluto is grinding away on and she will also help you figure out how to make any necessary adjustments to your current course. She is opposing Neptune in Aquarius, your 6th House of work, health and service, which seems to imply caution if you're being too optimistic about some situation in that area. Put that Earth Sign propensity for practicality to work and make sure you have all the facts you need to avoid being disillusioned or too idealistic. The Full Moon on July 25 is in Aquarius, your 6th House of work, health and service. This suggests that any changes motivated by the New Moon will be reinforced at this time. A Full Moon typically brings an ending or culmination as something shifts to a new phase. The T-square noted above between Saturn, Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter is still in effect and by this time being joined by Mars. Mars and Saturn are going to want to "git 'r' dun" but will have to negotiate their progress with the others as described earlier. The Moon is intervening in what should be a positive way and implying that you can use your heart for any final decisions, not just your head. Feel free to make adjustments as required to get comfortable with the situation. By this time Saturn has moved into Libra, your 2nd House of finances, income, needs and pleasures which implies some restructuring or changes in that part of your life are needed as well. With Neptune opposing Mercury you need to make sure you're in touch with reality, even when inspiration comes your way. This is not to say any inspiration is inaccurate, only that you need to make sure it is before acting upon it. In other words, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. These lunations both seem to carry the theme for some major adjustments that will have a lasting effect upon you. Recognize there's a lot going on and that it's all tied together in one way or another and your job is to determine how and then sort the pieces into their proper places and act accordingly. Daily and Short Term Aspects July 1: Pay attention to what you hear today as it could open up an opportunity for you. July 5: Uranus goes retrograde until December 5. This will make his already erratic energy even more unpredictable. July 8: Tune in for some inspiration today that could point your work in a new direction. Money or a relationship could get in the way, but gather as many ideas as you can so you can sift through them for feasibility. July 9: Mercury goes into Leo, an excellent transit for accessing the channels of inspiration and enlightenment. Listen for unconventional, original or even rebellious ideas that could change your life. July 10: Venus goes into Virgo, bringing her charm and blessings to enhance your personality. With her help and a few adjustments to that inspiration you may have something to work with. Spend some time with friends or some other group today which could shed even more light on your current goals. July 11: New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Cancer as described above. July 13: Getting in touch with issues from the past that relate to romantic interests, children, your ego, hobbies or speculations and resolving them could bring big changes your way at a personal level as you internalize the lessons. July 20: A friend or coworker could shed some light on something today that has been confusing or deceptive in some way. The additional information will bring about a change of direction. July 21: Saturn goes into Libra today, bringing his wisdom and lessons back to your 2nd House where he went retrograde back in January. Maybe now you can start to figure out what you're supposed to learn and change accordingly. July 22: The Sun goes into Leo, bringing light and increased understanding to your spiritual side which will help find the roots of a problem that's been holding you back. July 23: Jupiter goes retrograde which usually stirs up ethical issues of one sort or another. More enlightenment that changes you in some way is out there as well. July 24: Whatever those old issues are that were alluded to for July 13 will surface again and you'll be pondering them on a different level than previously due to new insights. July 25: Full Moon in Aquarius today as described above. July 26: Five aspects are exact today, implying this will be a significant day. If there's anything about your work that makes you uncomfortable, or it feels as if something isn't quite right, you may identify what it is and decide upon an appropriate course of action. Insights into your past to something that wasn't properly resolved are also likely to surface, the understanding of which will bring about a change of course that will increase your level of understanding at a potentially profound level. Financial matter are also likely to arise that will involve a conflict of some sort. July 27: Your Sign Ruler, Mercury, enters your sign which will help you communicate more clearly and also increase your understanding of situations that affect you personally. Sudden flashes of innovation or possibly the need to break free of old ways are also possible. July 30: Mars goes into Libra today, bringing drive and energy to your 2nd House. Beware of impulsive spending during this time, particularly if it involves borrowing money, an influence which will last until mid-September. Impose a 24-hour waiting period on any large purchases to protect your finances. Communicating with the necessary individuals regarding that old unresolved issue should go well today and effect a few adjustments to your understanding of the situation.
