This month there are some really good things going on for Leos that should override the few that could go either way.  Numerous changes are afoot, including a few that will could take you by surprise.  The first week of the month will be particularly busy due to lots of action on the part of Uranus, planet of change, upsets, unexpected events and surprises, who's currently parked in  your Natural 8th House of intimate relationships, shared resources and transformation.  This isn't anything particularly new; he's been there since around the middle of March 2003.  Thus, if you've experienced numerous upsets in these areas in the past four and a half years, you now know whom to blame.  This month he's positioned such that he's squaring Mars in your Natural 11th House of groups, organizations, hopes and wishes.  There is no telling how this aspect will play out, between Mars' energy and Uranus' propensity for the unexpected.  About all I can say is watch that leonine temper and be on the lookout for someone in your social circle that may initiate a confrontation of some sort, particularly if your birthday falls between August 6 - 10.

On the positive side, Venus, currently in your Natural 1st House of personality, is sextile Mars, which could diffuse some of that raw Mars energy through enhancing your natural charm.  Even more good news is the fact that Venus comes out of retrograde on September 7th.  While doing the backstroke, she was internalizing that energy and probably making you more introspective than usual.  Once she goes direct again, you'll feel much better about yourself and she'll even enhance your appearance.  Uranus is quincunx Venus, however, creating a rather interesting triad of cosmic energy that could necessitate some adjustments on your part.  More than likely you'll be projecting a very sensual image during this time, so depending on your circumstances you might want to exploit it for all its worth.

Another bit of good news this month is that Saturn, who has been camped out in your Natural 1st House for about two years, is about to move on.  Saturn is a stern task master who is all about delays, restrictions, discipline, structure and obligations.  The magnitude of these lessons would have been largely dependent on how badly you needed to learn them.  As a Fire Sign, at best it probably felt like a musty, wet blanket.  These are not qualities that exuberant, charming Leo enjoys anymore than an artist would enjoy studying calculus.  More than likely you can tell me more about what it was like than vice versa, but I can tell you that as of September 3rd that Saturn will step into Virgo and those effects will end.  <Applause>

Now he's going into your Natural 2nd House of possessions, pleasures, comforts and finances.  Since Saturn imposes structure, this may not be a bad thing, again depending on how many lessons you have to learn in this area.  If you tend to indulge yourself a little too much, this could be significantly less than enchanting.  However, if you're already reasonably responsible taking care of your possessions, practicing moderation with your pleasures such as good food and drink, and you're diligent about balancing your checkbook, this could actually be a very positive transit during which you gain additional discipline and stability in this area.  If you're irresponsible in this area, well, let's just say that two years from now you will have probably learned to behave otherwise, one way or another.  The New Moon eclipse on the 11th is also in Virgo and will undoubtedly give this particular transit a kick start.

Even more good news, Mercury, the astrological communication and data giant, will spend from September 6th to the 28th in Libra, your Natural 3rd House of intellect, siblings and your immediate neighborhood.  This will be a nice boost to your mental activity and communications, which you should be able to put to good use.  He will also sextile your Natal Sun at some point during the month, which could open up some interesting opportunities for you, perhaps through connections instituted by family or friends.  Your thought processes should be quick and crystal clear, which will also serve you well, should Uranus cause you any hassles as noted above.

The Full Moon on the 26th in Aries, your Natural 9th House, could mark the culmination or a new phase of something related to higher education, legal matters or even long distance travel.  This lunation will quincunx Saturn, perhaps providing a bit of extra impetus to Saturn's new task at hand relative to your possessions, or possibly tying in his other qualities of responsibility and discipline.  It could also provide a new approach or attitude toward how your belief system ties into your physical possessions.

This should be an interesting month for you that is anything but dull.  Keep your cool, turn on that natural charm, and be prepared for change.  As a Fixed Sign, Leos may not be happy with the prospect of change, but rest assured that when all is said and done you'll be happy with the results.
