November 2006 Forecast

Key Events:

Full Moon 11/5/2006

New Moon 11/20/2006

Mercury Posigrade 11/18/2006

Uranus Posigrade 11/20/2006

I know that Geminis like to be direct and to the point, so here it is:  This month Twins are probably going to see the most action at work and in their relationships.  However, since your ruling planet, Mercury, is currently retrograde (RX) in Scorpio, your Natural 6th House or work, health and pets, there may be a lot of frustration and confusion until the 18th, when he resumes posigrade motion.

You've probably already noted how things aren't exactly running smoothly.  If you computer hasn't crashed or car broken down yet, to say nothing of every other electronic or mechanical device you own, then you are indeed lucky.  Traffic lights go on the blink (literally), or at the least every single one you encounter will inevitably celebrate your arrival by turning red.  Save your work on your computer every minute at the least because network outages are inevitable.  (For example, while writing Taurus' forecast in which I was ranting about Mercury RX woes, my computer burped and rebooted for no apparent reason.)  Geminis like to do things quickly and you will probably have more frustrating experiences than you can imagine.  Regardless of what your actual "work" entails, things will not run smoothly.  Orders will be late or lost, machinery will break down, people will be out sick at the worst possible time, etc., etc.  For Geminis and Virgos, who are both ruled by Mercury, your brain probably won't work very well, either.  Expect a plethora of misunderstandings and blank looks.

Truly it sucks.  I know, believe me, since I have a Virgo ascendant and Gemini Moon!  So what is it good for?  Not much.  However, if you have something that you already have to redo, now is the time.  When a planet is retrograde its energy is stalled, turning it inward.  Now is a good time for introspection, editing, reviewing, repairs and possibly chores like cleaning up your yard for the winter, though that's questionable if it involves anything mechanical like lawnmowers, hedge clippers and the like.  But be careful with that rake!

Beware also of stress, which will probably be profuse.  Remind yourself daily that the Universe is really not out to get you and that this, too, shall pass.  In fact, you even know when, which is more than you can say about other trials in your life.  Get plenty of rest and work out that frustration with some exercise.  Take your vitamins, since you may be more prone to illness at this time.  Accidents, too, for that matter, so look out!

While you're biting your nails and rolling your eyes, however, things may be moving along better than you realize.  The Sun, Venus, Mars and Jupiter are also in Scorpio, which is a whole lot of diverse energy.  The Sun will, of course, highlight this area.  Venus isn't particularly happy in Scorpio, so her effect will be somewhat subdued.  Nonetheless, you'll probably be viewed in a positive manner in your workplace, provided you abstain from throwing things or pounding your workstation when your computer network goes down right in the middle of composing that long, detailed email.  Take my advice and so it in a word processor so you can save it every 30 seconds or so.

Jupiter tends to expand anything it touches.  Hopefully this will be your job opportunities and responsibilities.  Unfortunately, for at least part of the time he's conjunct RX Mercury which could exacerbate that particular condition, but it will only last until the 4th of November or so and on its return trip when they meet up again he'll be posigrade and in Sagittarius.  But we'll talk about that next month.  Also related to your work/career is the fact that Uranus has also been retrograde in your Natural 10th House of community status and reputation.  This has undoubted caused a series of unexpected events and surprises as well as possible clashes with authority figures.  The good news is that Uranus goes posigrade on the 20th, so by then things should get on track job-wise and next month will be much better.

Relationships have probably been less than stellar for a long time now with Pluto transiting, or I probably should say crawling, through your 7th House of relationships.  Pluto tends to unearth all sorts of things from the past and his passage is much like exhuming corpses from a graveyard, a visual that is probably fresh this close to the recent passing of Halloween.  The good news here is that Jupiter, the Sun and Venus are moving into Sagittarius as well before this month is over, which will definitely be like turning on the light in a dark and musty cellar.  Chances for a new or invigorated relationship are very good, so try your best to ditch any residual pessimism facilitated by those RX planets and see what you can find.  By the end of November everything will look much better than it does now.  Really.
