There is all sorts of activity in your
Sign this month, including the Blue Moon (i.e. second Full Moon within a
calendar month) on May 31st. Full Moons usually signal either an ending of
some sort or possibly the completion of a phase. Since this is in your
Natural 1st House, this will
relate to your personal development. You also have two
retrograde (RX)
planets in residence,
Jupiter and Pluto,
which will turn most of that action toward introspection. While in direct
motion, Jupiter, who also happens to be
your Sign's ruler,
tends to expand and multiply everything he touches. This can generate a
lot of general enthusiasm and optimism as things tend to be moving along quite
nicely. When he goes RX, however, progress comes to a screeching halt.
Problems and considerations not previously considered will come out,
particularly any moral or ethics issues. This is not necessarily a bad
thing, but it does necessitate a change of direction. This is when you
need to take a good, hard look at what you really believe in and whether you're
heading in the right direction. The RX period lasts for several months, so
you have plenty of time to think about it. Those most affected will be
those with birthdays between December 5-11. And then there's Pluto. Some of you are already familiar with this bad actor since he moves very, very slowly and has been in the same neighborhood for quite a while now. These would be folks born roughly between December 19-21. Just when you think he's moving on and things will get better the little beggar turns on his heel and goes retrograde, grinding away once more on who and what you are. I know it's not much consolation, and I've said it before, but when all is said and done you'll be much better off. Bear in mind if you didn't have anything to work on then you'd be immune to these effects, but such a person will be rare indeed. Just think of Pluto as the astrological back-hoe digging up the septic tank in your back yard. It's full of you-know-what and needs to be either pumped out or replaced. When this is accomplished, you'll replant the lawn and move on, as good as new in no time, with no concerns for similar problems anytime soon. If there have been challenges in your life that were less than enchanting, this will help you identify how you got there so you can avoid making that particular wrong turn again in the future. All in all a good thing. Really. Neptune goes RX in your Natural 3rd House of intellect, thoughts, neighbors and short trips on May 25th. This will tend to dissolve the existing boundaries in your thinking and actually help you figure out some of what's going on with Jupiter and Pluto. However, don't be too idealistic or you'll set yourself up for more disappointments later when real life just doesn't measure up. It's okay to set your standards high, but don't go too far outside the realm of reality. There could be a few surprises or even breakdowns around your home the first half of the month. Don't count on anything to function properly, such as going out for the evening with the dishwasher or washing machine operating. Family members may be getting on each others' nerves a bit with all that excess Mars energy so keep your temper and suggest a family outing or something fun as a distraction. Just don't leave anything turned on or running when you leave. Things on the job should be lively this month, at least until the 21st, during the Sun's passage within your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets. While events may cause some discomfort or necessitate an adjustment on your part, Mercury will be there much of the time to help you communicate and the New Moon on the 16th could help usher in a new beginning or phase of some sort. After that, similar attention will be drawn to your relationships, which should go relatively smoothly. In fact, intimate relationships should be even better than that, thanks to the presence of Venus. If you have anything going on in the higher education, legal or long distance travel arena, any speed bumps or delays encountered the past several months should finally break loose and allow you to proceed now that Saturn has come out of retrograde on April 22. All in all, this will be a busy month with lots going on, physically and mentally. You're likely to learn a few things about life and also about yourself during this time so listen up and enjoy the ride the best you can. |
