March 2007 Forecast

Key Events:

Full Moon 3/03/2007 (Eclipse)

New Moon 3/18/2007 (Eclipse)

Mercury Direct 3/08/2007

There will be substantial emphasis in your career or community status and reputation area this month as the Sun transits you Natural 10th House.  Changes are possible as well as a surprise or unexpected event of some sort, probably around March 16 - 19th.  This energy boost could come about the time that you experience a significant change in your attitude toward life.  The New Moon on March 18 is also likely to have an affect in this same area of career and community standing.  As an eclipse, the lunation will influence these same areas of your life until the next one, approximately six months down the road.  So whatever gets initiated now will be something you're dealing with until the next Full Moon eclipse this coming fall.  n other words, New Moons ordinarily usher in new beginnings, so be prepared to start in a new direction.  An unexpected event or surprise of some kind could come about between March 16-19 that could affect this same area of career or community standing.  Throw a large measure of Air Sign logic at it and don't overreact.  Make sure that your opinion is sound and be prepared to explain your point of view in a non-defensive manner.  This scenario is likely to have the strongest effect on those born the first week of June.

Your thought patterns have been different than usual for a while now and you've probably attributed it to age and maturity.  This is only partly true since Saturn, taskmaster of the Universe, has been parked on your thought processes for over a year now.  This somewhat malefic influence has slowed down your usual mental acuity, made you much more serious, and thrown a significant shadow on your usually bright, witty and rapid thought processes.

As if that's not bad enough, Neptune is in opposition to Saturn.  Neptune is the cosmic master of fantasy and deception, and guess who is currently messing with your Natural 9th House?  This House encompasses higher education, legal matters and long distance travel to name a few.  The general tone of this cosmic dos-à-dos is to pit fantasies, idealism, and unrealistic views of life against cold, hard facts and reality.  This is the stuff that depression is made out of and I know that anything that slows down Gemini mental processes is likely to produce just that.  Saturn is currently retrograde, which makes matters worse.  The good news is that Saturn goes direct on April 21.  Various issues that have been stewing in your subconscious should come out at that time and by mid-summer you should have it all figured out and be largely back to normal.  Saturn will be there a while longer, but on the positive side it would do you good to implement some serious practicality and security into your ideas.  In other words, you may not like how it feels, but it's somewhat akin to eating your vegetables and good for you in the long run.

In addition to Saturn, for the last three weeks your ruling planet, Mercury, has been retrograde, which has probably messed with your mind in addition to all the computer and mechanical faux pas it generates when it does this four times a year.  It's amazing how aware the public at large is becoming of the Mercury Retrograde phenomena.  More and more folks supporting computer help desks in particular offer that as an explanation for otherwise unexplainable computer glitches.  Anyway, this cycle is over on March 8, after which life will return to some semblance of normal.  However, this may have confused the issue even more relative to those higher ed, legal and long distance travel issues.  In other words, between Neptune and Mercury RX in that House, you hardly had a chance at sound logic, but this, too, shall pass so hang in there.

Mars is transiting Aquarius, i.e., the same general neighborhood as Neptune, this month, which will bring some additional energy to your Natural 9th house.  This may or may not be a good thing.  This could give you the boost you need to take care of some of those 9th House issues mentioned above.  Or it could also start some crap in one of those areas, so try to stay calm and look at the facts carefully before jumping to conclusions.

The Full Moon on March 3 occurs in your Natural 4th House, which includes your home environment.  Full Moons usually signal the culmination of something and this is also an eclipse, giving it more punch than the norm.  It will more than likely see the completion of some issue that introduced itself roughly six months ago with the last New Moon eclipse.

Along with everything else that's been going on, I'll bet your relationships have been taking a beating for a while, too.  Of course when something is messing with your mind, you're probably grumpy and more introspective than usual, which would undoubtedly bug or concern those closest to you.  If your birthday is right around the summer solstice, i.e. June 21, on top of everything else Pluto has been on you like a duck on a June bug for quite a while.  If all your interpersonal interactions were healthy, this would have minimal effect.  However, when you have anything that smells like dysfunctionality in your life, you can bet that a Pluto transit will sniff it out.  Take it as a personal remodeling job, courtesy of the Universe, and heed what it has to say.  It might not feel like it now, but when all is said and done you'll be much better off than you were before.  Sometimes relationships hold us back, keep us down or prevent us from reaching our potential and really need to go.  This is about as painless as any other kind of surgery, but the end result is a healthier and happier you.  Trust me on this one.  If you've ever remodeled your house or rebuilt the engine in your car, you know that things gets worse before they get better.  Pluto is the planet of death and regeneration and right now he's fixing your relationships, so recognize what it is and deal with it in your usual, logical manner.

On the positive side, Venus, Goddess of Love, will be transiting your Natural 11th House of groups, friends, hopes and wishes for the first half of the month and then slip into your 12th House, which includes your subconscious, on March 18.   This should bode for some pleasant times with your friends and a general feeling of well-being for the latter.  With all the other crap going on, this should be a breath of fresh air.

All in all, there is a lot going on right now, a lot of it at the subconscious level.  Your brain probably isn't functioning the way you'd like it to, but rest assured that not all solutions come from there.  Maybe it's time to put aside some of that Gemini logic and data reduction so you can listen to your heart in some areas.  Other issues require your usual logic.  But I know you can find the proper balance because there is no astrological Sign who can do a juggling act better than Gemini.
