The good news this month is that
Jupiter comes out of
retrograde on August
6th. Those internal rumblings relative to your value system as they affect
yourself as well as the world around you will quiet down and the exhilarating
effect of having your
ruling planet
in your Natural First House will
be like standing on the top of a mountain looking down at a magnificent valley.
The one thing you may have to watch, however, is a tendency to be a bit too
elated and perhaps exaggerate or promote yourself a little too much. This
will be most pronounced if you were born between December 1- 6. Of course
Pluto is still in
residence in your Sign as well, which will serve to put a damper of sorts on
your ego for a while longer, particularly if your birthday is within a few days
of December 18.
The New Moon on the 12th is in Leo, your Natural 9th House. Sagittarius presides over the Zodiacal 9th House so this is likely to be a bit more noticeable than usual. Expect a new phase or beginning of some sort, possibly in the higher education, foreign travel or legal arena. Perhaps you'll decide to return to school, go on a trip abroad, or conduct some sort of legal action, including such things as buying property. The Full Moon, which will also be a lunar eclipse, will be on the 28th in your Natural 4th House, which governs your home environment. This could herald the culmination of some activity or milestone on the homefront. It could tie in with your first (or last) child starting school, going off to college, or leaving home in some other fashion. It could also signal the ending of a home project of some sort, more than likely one that started around the March timeframe, since eclipses tend to be more significant than the usual monthly lunation. Venus is in this same territory, which usually bodes well, except she's retrograde, which could internalize the effect and cause more focus on your relationships. Mercury, champion of communication, is there between August 5-20, lending a few more vibes to this area. Saturn has been slowing things down for a while, but he'll be moving into Virgo come September, the effects of which we'll talk about next month. You're probably still seeing some surprises, disruptions, unexpected events and upsets around home thanks to Uranus. This will be in effect for a few more years, so accept it the best that you can and don't do foolish things that set you up for such events, like leaving your house unlocked, not locking up yard tools and the like, or leaving the gate to the pool area open. Jupiter in your First House will give you a certain amount of good luck, but don't push it. One of the purposes of planetary transits it to bring out our weaknesses and build strengths in their place. If you act foolishly and tempt fate, no doubt the Universe will leap upon the opportunity to teach you a thing or two. If you've already learned that lesson, so to speak, many transits will be invisible, passing you by in a silent, benign manner, much as a disease against which you've been immunized. Some transits can last a long, long, time, specifically those of the outer planets such as Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, but once you've learned your lesson you can often figuratively walk away from the influence, in some cases flagging your nose at the offending planet. Mars enters Gemini, your Natural 7th House of relationships, on August 8th. On the positive side Mars is energy and drive; on the negative, aggression. This combined with Jupiter coming out of retrograde could tend to make you overbearing with those close to you at home, in business partnerships, or other one on one relationships. Make a concerted effort to direct this in a positive way. Start a new project together, take a trip or vacation with a lot of physical activity or engage in something that will result in something constructive. The Sun moves into Virgo, your Natural 10th House of career, community standing and reputation on the 24th; Mercury moves in a few days before that. This pair will highlight something in these areas, making it a good time to interview for a new job, run for political office, or promote yourself in some manner. You will stand out even more so than usual and be able to communicate your ideas in an effective manner. Do so in a methodical, sensible way, however, keeping an eye on that tendency to come on a bit too strong, or be too optimistic. You may see that as one of your strongest assets, but more conservative types can view it as arrogance or just plain vanity. In summary, this month your luck should improve, but you need to be careful not to be too imposing, optimistic or overpowering, especially in your personal relationships. There is likely to be a culmination of some sort on the homefront as well as a new activity relative to academia, a trip abroad or perhaps a legal issue. It's a good time to promote yourself in the community or in your career, but again make sure that you don't come on too strong or sabotage yourself in some other way. |
