June 2007 Astrocast

Key Events:

New Moon 6/14/2007

Full Moon 6/30/2007

Mercury Retrograde 6/16/2007

Uranus Retrograde 6/24/2007

Expect some changes of a personal nature this month after the 24th when Uranus goes retrograde in your Natural 1st House, which defines your personality and core identity.  Uranus is the planet of surprises, change, unexpected events and disruptions so just about anything could happen, especially if your birthday is on or within a about a week of March 2nd.  This will not necessarily be bad, but could actually initiate an entirely new direction in life for you, so if something comes up that takes you entirely by surprise, this would be the astrological reason behind it.

Mars is transiting your Natural 2nd House of possessions (which includes your physical body), comforts and pleasures until the 25th.  Mars is all about energy and aggression, so expect a burst of physical energy this month and put it to good use.  There is also a possibility something might breakdown or maybe even an accident of some sort, so pay attention and don't take any unnecessary chances when pursuing one of these areas.  It could mean nothing more than the string comes untied on your hammock while you're enjoying a cool one some evening, but be aware and wear protective equipment as required, including in the sack, if you take my meaning.  The good news is that this will only last until the 25th, when Mars will move into Taurus.

This month there should be quite a bit of emphasis on Natural 4th House issues, which includes your home environment, family and traditions.  The Sun is there until the 22nd, which will call attention to some aspect of it, and the New Moon on the 14th is there as well, which often heralds a new beginning of some description.  It's possible that some challenge or conflict will be in the mix, so be prepared.

Also be on the lookout after the 16th when Mercury once more has the audacity to go retrograde, this time in your Natural 5th House of creativity, children and love affairs.  If you're into astrology at all, you know this is not necessarily a good thing.  The good news is that Mercury RX is a good time to redo, rethink or rework something; it is NOT a good time to move forward with something new.

It is also a period of general annoyances at a global level, which will be in force until July 10th.  This is because Mercury rules communications of all sorts, whether they're between people, mechanical devices or electrons.  During this time people will have a hard time conveying ideas; mechanical objects such as automobiles and major appliances are likely to go on the fritz; electronic devices of all sorts such as computers, cell phones, stereos, televisions, and so forth will crash; and even transportation will be affected by such things are messed up traffic signals and disrupted airline schedules.  Whatever you do, don't buy anything of a mechanical or electronic nature or it's likely to have a virtual curse on it for it's functional lifetime.  Traveling is also likely to have numerous complications, such as delays, lost reservations, outdated maps and so forth.  Being as this is the height of the vacation season, including the 4th of July weekend, this is not a good thing.  So be aware and plan around it as much as possible.

Things have possibly been rather serious for several months while Saturn has been resident in your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets.  When he came out of retrograde back in April, whatever issues were in force should have progressed somewhat as you identified something you needed to address in this area and chances are it will be resolved by the end of July.  Saturn is all about structure, restrictions, responsibility and authority as well as career ambitions, so in the long run this will have a positive affect.  Starting June 6th, Venus will enter Leo and visit this same domain.  As you can probably imagine, Venus is usually a rather pleasant visitor.  About the worst thing she ever does is make us lazy and perhaps enjoy too many indulgences, making us gain weight or something like that, but her general reputation is as a benefic planet.  Thus, her sojourn in your 6th House should be a breath of fresh air and on the 30th she'll come nose to nose with Saturn, which is likely to bring out the silver lining of that black cloud you've been dealing with for quite a while.

Related to work in the fact that Jupiter and Pluto are both retrograde in your Natural 10th House, which rules your career, reputation and community standing.  Jupiter RX will stimulate various ruminations on ethics and moral issues and Pluto RX tends to unearth issues from your past that were given an inappropriate or premature burial prior to being properly resolves.  As a Pisces, you are intuitive and perceptive enough to see how these two influences could tie together in a very effective manner.  If perchance you're in the wrong line of work for your long-term satisfaction, then these two should help you sort that out once and for all.  Note that you can change jobs (6th House) while remaining in the same career field (10th house) but to change careers is an entirely different life direction.  So if you feel a bit like a fish out of water, maybe this is something you need to be thinking about.  You have a deep, soulful need for meaning in your life and if your career doesn't do it for you, maybe it's time to move on.  If your career is satisfactory, maybe it's time to look at something else, like your community involvement, for a possible change in your activity level.

That Full Moon in your Natural 11th House of friends, social circle, hopes and wishes could tie into this area as well.  Full Moons generally indicate a culmination or ending, so bear that in mind as well if you think you've reached a new plateau in one of those areas as well.

Your Sign Ruler, Neptune, is camped out in your Natural 12th House and is also retrograde.  This will be stimulating a lot of action at the spiritual level.  Also included in this House are institutions, the collective consciousness and where you find inspiration.  Pisces presides over the Universal 12th House, so this is important ground for you.  [NOTE:--If you don't understand all this talk about Natural and Universal Houses (to say nothing of Natal Houses), then I suggest you read the section on Houses, which should help you understand them a bit better. In a nutshell, Houses define which area of your life the transits, lunations and aspects will manifest in your life.]  Be aware that while Neptune dissolves boundaries and can show us the way to transcendence, he can also bring delusions and deception as well, so don't believe everything you hear or fool yourself into thinking you've found Nirvana because of one special experience.

This should be a significant month for you that should be anything but boring.  Not only should your daily life be interesting, but there is a lot going on beneath the surface that deserves your attention.  Life-changing thoughts and direction are vying for your attention and the planets are trying to point you in the right direction, so take heed.
