June 2007 Astrocast

Key Events:

New Moon 6/14/2007

Full Moon 6/30/2007

Mercury Retrograde 6/16/2007

Uranus Retrograde 6/24/2007

This month starts out with Venus in your Natural 1st House, which will be pleasant while it lasts, but that's only until the 6th, when she moves into Leo.  Thus, if you want to charm someone or need a favor, do it before then because after that it could get more complicated.  This is because Mercury is in that same vicinity and that may not necessarily be entirely pleasant since the little beggar goes Retrograde on June 16th and doesn't right himself until July 10th.  This could mess things up for you at a personal level.  Your expectations may not be clear to others or you may even be a bit confused regarding what they even are.  Expect a lot of blank or even strange looks during that period and do your best to smile your way through them.  No offense, but Cancers have a tendency to whine whether or not you're aware, and this will give you a target-rich environment.  Try to suck it up the best you can or people may simply tune you out, which won't help a thing in the long run.  In the middle of all this, the Sun will enter your Sign on the 22nd, highlighting you personally, so just make sure if you're the center of attention that you use it in a positive manner, not as a soapbox.  You'll be able to tell by people's expressions how you're registering, so make sure you don't wear out your welcome.

Mercury retrograde also tends to mess up anything mechanical or electronic, so expect the usual plethora of annoyances in this realm a well.  Internet connects, computers, automobiles, traffic signals, telephones and communications in general will offer one problem after another, so brace yourself and remember what's causing it.  On June 24th Uranus goes retrograde as well, which will contribute further to various unexpected events and disruptions.  This will occur in your Natural 9th House, which rules legal matters, higher education and long distance travel.  Here we are right in the middle of the vacation season, so if you're planning a trip in the next few months and can't make it happen in the first two weeks of June, expect the unexpected.  Between Mercury and Uranus you're likely to have one stink bomb after another going off.  In fact, if you remember the Vacation movie series with Chevy Chase, they're a prime example of the sort of thing to expect, so be sure to pack your sense of humor along with everything else you can think of for a contingency.  I apologize for the planets, but I can't control them, so all you can do is remember that forewarned if forearmed and prepare accordingly.  And try to laugh instead of whine as much as possible.

On the positive side, when Venus moves into Leo on the 6th, she'll enter your Natural 2nd House, which covers your possessions, pleasures and comforts.  This will be a good thing that will bring a welcome break from the drudgery that Saturn has deposited there for quite a while now.  At least Saturn is no longer retrograde so hopefully he'll just lend some stability to that area.  Pamper yourself in any manner that you can to help alleviate stress but watch out for indulging too much in food an drink or you'll pack on a few extra pounds that will bite you later.  This should also bode relatively well in that it might offer some protection for your possessions while Mercury does his retrograde thing.  While something may still go on the fritz, it's less likely to be serious and will thus only require a minor fix or perhaps it will even right itself spontaneously when the retrograde period ends.

Things at work or with any detailed projects that you may be working on have probably been somewhat of a drag for quite awhile.  More than likely you're giving some serious thought to how you earn your living and possibly even wondering whatever possessed you to accept that job in the first place.  You have Pluto to thank for that, who's trudging along at his usual glacial speed in your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets.  Jupiter is there as well and also retrograde, which will generate some serious introspections relative to ethics issues and your personal moral code.  If you're in a job with any hidden elements of a questionable moral nature, chances are they're going to surface if they haven't already and make you do some very serious thinking.

Along similar lines, Mars has been in your Natural 10th house of career and community status, which could be throwing some conflicts in the mix as well.  While the 6th House reflects the work you do, the 10th is your career itself.  In other words, you can change jobs while maintaining the same career field.  So if Mars is stirring things up in your career field itself, it may be time to consider changing your entire line of work.  Recognize that you have some help from the Universe in figuring these things out and use them to your benefit to make some significant decisions.

The Moon, which is also your Sign's ruler, will have it's new phase on the 14th in Gemini, your Natural 12th House which rules your spirituality and connection with the universal consciousness and transcendence.  This could usher in a new awareness in this area and perhaps some opportunities to deepen your spiritual values.  With the Sun in this same house, there will be emphasis in this area anyway, so give it some serious thought relative to how it might be able to enrich our life.  The Full Moon is in Capricorn on the 30th, which could show up somehow in your one-on-one relationships of either a personal or business nature.  You may have found yourself being pulled in two different directions over something in this area for a while which is likely to be resolved at this time.  Regarding your intimate relationships or shared resources, which are 8th House manners, be careful that you're not too idealistic to the point of being delusional with your expectations.  Evaluate where you stand and decide if it's you or your significant other who needs to make the adjustments.

In summary, this is not likely to be the happiest month of your life, but maintaining an easy-going attitude is your best bet to get through it.  There are lots of things you need to be thinking about and there will be a disturbance or inconvenience or two, but most of this is actually pretty typical.  Prioritize things in their order of importance and use the various astrological influences to help you determine your best course of action.  That's what astrology is all about.
